We're going to fight in the Capitol tomorrow. Peeta, Legg 1, Legg 2, Finnick, Gale, Boggs, Jackson, Messalla, Mitchel, and I are in the same squad. Annie and Johanna didn't pass the test.
They gave us a free day to say goodbye and relax.
First I go to say goodbye to mom and Prim. And after that I'm gonna spend the rest of my day with Peeta.
"Mom?! Prim?!" I call as I enter their compartment.
"In the kitchen!" Answers Prim.
"Hey guys. I came here to say bye. We're going to the Capitol tomorrow. I'll be back soon, though, I promise." I say.
"Bye, Katniss. We'll miss you." Says Prim.
"I'll miss you too little duck."
"Just be safe Katniss." Says mom.
"I will." I respond.
After dinner, I farewell my mom and Prim and go back to Peeta's compartment.
I enter the room and see him pouring some tea. His back faced to me. I sneak behind him and wrap my arms around his waist.
"Hey Katniss. Want some tea?" He asks.
"Sure." I say and kiss his cheek before sitting on a chair.
"How was your day?"I ask.
"It was fine. Just watched tv. How about yours?"
"It was good. I always like to be around Prim." I say as he places a cup of tea in front of me.
"That's good." He replies.
After we chat for a while we decide to have fun before going to the war.
We started by kissing. Which turned into French kissing. Which turned into a full on make-out session. Which turned into... you know.
"I love you." Says Peeta.
"I love you too." I reply. "Peeta?"
"Yeah?"
"Stay with me?"
"Always."
