Stefanies POV
I woke up in my room. Todays the last day of summer. My father came in and opened my blinds "dad close the blinds" I groan and throw pillows over my face to prevent the light
"Stef it's the last day of summer. You know what today is" he reminds me
"Oh no. You mean?" Last day of summer my father and my uncle takes me out hunting. My uncle likes drinking animal blood and my dad hates it. My dad prefers human blood.
"We're going hunting today so get ready"

Downstairs
"Oh dad I was actually wondering if I could go to Bonnie's" I ask while fiddling with my hair. Bonnie has been my best friend for 6 years now.
"Stef you've been going hunting every year since you turned. Why drop out now?" He asks
"Because its boring and I've been a vampire for 117 years. I think I could handle myself" I argue
"Fine you can go to Bonnie's" he gave in
"Thanks dad your the best!" I say and give him a hug.
He pulls out from the hug and says "you can't call me uncle at school tomorrow".
"I know Stefan" I smirk and go get dressed. Today I decided to wear a black Crop top with ripped jeans. Every year I try out for the Cheerleading team and I always make it. Mostly because dad compels the coach to let me on the team. This year, Caroline Forbes is the captain. Great. Snotty blonde is the captain. I ate breakfast and gave my uncle and dad a hug. Little did my dad know that I was going to my boyfriend, jake's house. I walked out of the house and walked to Jake house. I failed my drivers test so I can't drive yet. I knock on the door and Jake opens it. "Hey jakey "
"Uh hey stefie. I didn't know you were gonna come today" he says
"Jake it's the last day of summer. Of course I'm coming" I smile
"Well I gotta go to the grill. I got work today" he said
"Can I come with you?" I ask
"Um if you want" he replied and I got into his car. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing" I said and turned on the radio. We arrived at the grill and I see Jake talking to Caroline. I don't think anything of it so I just shrug it off. Then Tyler Lockwood comes over to me "hey tyler"
"Hey stefanie. You excited for school tomorrow?" He asks
"I dunno" I shrug
"Are you gonna try out for the cheer team?"
"Probably" I replied with another shrug
"Oh well I'll be on the football team so consider trying out" he smiled and walked off. Then Jake came back over
"What was that?" He asked
"I was just talking to tyler" I scoffed. Jake and I have kinda been in a toxic relationship. He's overprotective with the people I talk to when it's none of his buisness. "What were you doing talking to Caroline?"
"Cmon babe care and I are just friends" he defends.
"Jake I saw the way she looks at you" I sighed
"Cmon baby you don't think I'm interested in Caroline do you?" He laughed
"Yeah I do think that Jake" I hissed
"I don't know what I believe Jake " I snarled and walked away.
A few guys came up to me on the streets. Guys I've never seen before. "What do you want?"
"To go out with you for a date" one of them smirked.
"No I have a boyfriend" I replied
"He isnt here now is he?" They rose their eyebrows and before I knew it I flung a punch to them.
"Leave me alone" I snarled again and walked away. I felt someone grab at my hips and I pulled back to see Jake "what do you want?"
"I'm sorry baby" he pulled me in for a hug but I shoved him off of me. "What's your deal huh?"
"Your acting like a real ass" I said
"No your being a slutty bitch" he shot back. I looked at him in disgust and tried to go. Before I could he grabbed my wrist
"Get off of me" i hissed
"Your being a real bitch" he growled
"Get off of her" I heard someone yell. I turn around and see my uncle. I looked at him in fear.
"And who are you?" Jake chuckled loosening the grip on my wrist
"I'm someone you would want to listen to" stefan came up to him and his eyes started dialating- he was gonna compel him. "You will leave stefanie alone and run Far away from Mystic Falls" and with that he took off and Stefan turned to me. It was already black out and I'd just spent the entire day at the grill.
"Stefan I'm sorry" I start apologizing
"Who was that kid?" He asked in a serious tone
"M-my boyfriend" I stammer.
"Your boyfriend???!" He shouted "he tried to rape you!"
"I know Stefan . And I broke up with him before that happened" I said
"I don't care. Your my niece. If anything happens to you your father will kill me. I don't wanna see you get hurt by a guy who can't treat you right" dad said putting his hand on my cheek
"Stefan I'm not a little girl anymore" I spat
"Let's go home" he sighed and drove me home.
"How was hunting with my dad today?" I asked while drinking some apple juice
"Pain in the ass. Wish you woulda came. He kept complaining about how much he hates animal blood" he chuckled.
"Stefan am I a slut?" I asked
"What? No your not a slut. Your far from it" he defended. "Who called you that?"
"Jake" I huffed
"Well he's not in Mystic Falls anymore so you don't have to worry about him" stefan reassured "and you know that in school tomorrow we have first period together and I'm driving you right?"
"Yes" I nod
You may be wondering why my uncle, a 171 year old vampire is going to school with a 16 year old. That's because he looks young and everyone thinks he's still 17. So instead of telling everyone that he's my uncle we tell him we are sibling when we are out in public.
"Good. I'm not your uncle in school. I'm your brother in school so just remember that" he continues
"Yes uncle" I giggle and go up to bed.
