Preface

Kelly and Matt have worked together at Firehouse 51 for over 15 years and have been best friends for just as long. Kelly married his work colleague, Stella Kidd, 7 years ago. Matt and Sylvie have been married for 14 years. Both started a family. Kelly already has a son from a previous relationship, now 14-year-old Caleb Jeremy. Kelly and Stella have 2 other children together; 5-year-old Benjamin James and 1 year old Lydia Leslie. Matt and Sylvie have 3 children; 7-year-old identical twins Layla Elisabeth and Kayla Christie and 4-year-old Matthew Brady Jr.

They live together in a 5-room house with 2 bathrooms. Benjamin and Matthew Jr. share a room, the twins share a room, Caleb has his own room, Lydia sleeps with Kelly and Stella in the room and Matt and Sylvie. They also have 2 puppies called Spiky and Filou and Caleb has a aquarium in his room.

Caleb's mother emigrated to Europe with her new boyfriend over 14 years ago and left Caleb, 4-month-old at the time, in the apartment. Neighbors heard him cry and alerted the police. Caleb came to Med completely malnourished and dehydrated. Kelly made his way to Med as soon as he got the call.
