Max's POV
I woke up rubbing my head. "Owww... What happened?. " I look around I spot a corner where I see... Daniel?! He seemed asleep. I continue looking noticing that I was basically in a hospital room. But from the small window this wasn't a active hospital.
Daniel opens his piercing blue eyes. "Oh you're awake! Thank heavens! I thought you were going to.... Anyway.. Let's see.. " he started looking at the monitors next to me. He started saying words I couldn't quite make out. I touched my face with the arm that wasn't connected. I quickly noticed I had a eye patch covering my right eye. 'Ok what happened to give me a fucking eye patch and get me in a fucking hospital?!.' My thoughts were quickly stopped as Daniel came back into the room.
"Sorry I remembered you probably haven't ate in a while! " he said placing a tray of food down on my lap. It looked a little questionable but not as much as the quartermaster's food back at camp which might as well had been poison. I started eating it wasn't that bad actually. I couldn't shake the many questions off of my mind. I soon finished. He took my tray sitting it down on a table beside him. He then tapped a few things on a monitor.
"What happened to me? " I asked. He went silent before speaking up.

"Well.. On my way home yesterday day I drove past the abandoned building but something was off it was more lively. So I looked in. There I saw unfortunately you. Tied to a chair I then realized you were still asleep. Soon one attempted to pull a knife on you and actually did. So I ran on pushing him which made him fall gliding the knife across your face but you had a blindfold on and your eyes were closed so it didn't happen as harm your actual eye I then untied you and ran here.. So yeah" I listened. It felt like a murder..

"I thought that was just a dream.." I said. He shook his head. I soon laid back down. Before muttering "why do you care? "
