chapter 22

anaira were sleeping peacefully when there sleep broke due to anurags phone ringing. he looked at the number and picked it up as soon as he can. he had a tensed look on his face. when he ended the call he hurriedly got out of the bed.

anurag: naira mein india jarahaa hoon

naira: anu kyun???

anurag: woh abhi nurse ka phone aayatha mom ko hosh aagayhai orr woh mujhe doondh rahi hein. to mujhe urgently jaana hoga

naira: anu baby mein bi tumhare saath aaongi 

anurag: accha theek hai 

naira: theek hein nehiii jaldi se tickets book karo 

they booked the tickets and left for india in the midnight flight.  during the flight anurag had happy and excited look on his face. why wouldnt he it's been 7 months since he left her and came to new york. and a whole year since she hasn't spoke to him. didn't tell him her bad jokes. didn't scold him for being careless.  on the other hand naira is very nervous to meet his mother.

naira: anurag, will ur mom like me? 

anurag: of course baby tum aise kyun bol rahe ho? 

naira: pata nehi par...

anurag: baby mom tumhe bohot pasand karegi.  dont worry

their flight lands in india and both had out to get a cab. within an hour or so they reach anurag's house. anurag and naira steps inside the house with anu's heart beating real fast. he goes to him mom's room where she was waiting for him with naira following him behind.  he ran towards his mom and took her in for a hug. shweta also felt really happy seeing her son after so long. both were crying tears of happiness meanwhile naira stood their adoring the cute mother son duo.

shweta: anu im so sorry beta jab tumhe meri itni zaroorat ti mein tumhara saath nehi dhepayi. tum theek to hona? itne din kaha te? theek se kaya? mera bacha...

anura: maa relax mein bilkul theek hoon. orr mein new york mein ta. mujhe ej job waha se milana isiliye jaana pada.

shweta notices naira standing near the door. but naira had to go out for a while as she got a call from neela.

shweta: anu woh kaun hein?

anurag: mom woh mere hone wali patni hein. infact hamari sagaai aaj hui.

anurag tells her all about naira, akshu and kairav. how they met and how naira helped and stood by him through his difficult times. shweta felt really happy that anurag found someone like naira who loves him unconditionally. unlike laara. who was just using him. she was happy that he found kairav and akshu. and was able to get a family which he never got with laara. 

naira returned to the room after her phone call ended.  shweta noticed that she came back.

naira: namste aunty 

shweta: namaste beta

naira goes and sits next to her nervously. which shweta senses 

shweta: beta tum itni nervouse kyu horahi  ho? dont worry mein tumse pehle hi bothot impress hoon. anu ne muhe sab bata diya hein

naira looks towards anurag while he just grins happily at her.

shweta: thank u somach naira tumne mere bete ke liye itna sab kuch kiya...

naira: nehi aunty aap please thank u mat kahiye mujhe meine anu ke liye jobi kiya kyunki meinnusse pyaar karti hoon or uskeliye aap mujhe thank u mat kahi ye infact mujhe aapko thank u kehna chahiye ki aapne anu koh itni acchi parwarish di.  aapka anurag bohot accha hein  usne bi mera bohot saath diya hein. 

shweta: waise naira ab tum mujhe aunty mat bulana tumhari aur mere iss donkey from somewhere ki shaadi hone wali heina toh mujhe sirf mom hi bulana

naira: theek hain mom par ye donkey from somewhere???

shweta: ab mein tumhe kya bataun naira ye mere bete nein bach ban mein itna kaand kiyaa heina isiliye uska ye nickname rakha ga ya hein

anurag: mom plese ab aap naira koh ye sab mat batana

shweta: kyun nehi bataun

naira: waise mom ab aap hamare saath ghar chailye. new york 

anurag: yess mom jaldi se chaliye aaj early morning hamara mehendi hein or afternoon mein haldi and FINALYY aaj raat koh hamara shaadi

shweta: accha theek hein toh chale. waise hum madir jaakar hi airport chalenge.  tum dono ke shaadi liye aashirwaad lena hein

naria/anu: theek hai mom

they get into the car and on the way to to the temple shweta sees their old mansion which is now laara's. the house she always adored and cared for. a lone tear escapes her eyes. naira holds her hand and assures her everything will be fine.  she caresses naira's face and thanks her. 

anurag: mom now that u got ur daughter in law are u gonna forgot about me

shweta: arre she is not my daughter in law she is my daughter. and haan i already forgot u 

anurag: mommmm ye kya baat hui im sure akshu orr kairav se milkae u are even gonna forget that i exist 

shweta: of course i cant wait to meet them

they reach the temple and the trio pray for happiness in their future and were about to leave when naira spots the singhaniya's. they come towards her and she meets naksh ignoring the rest of them. she also introduces anurag and shweta to naksh

naksh: hi anurag, nice to meet u naira had told me a lot about u 

anurag: same here

thats when babhimaa approached naira.  naira felt a sharp pain on her face. babhimaa had slapped her.  

babhimaa: ye kyaa kar rahi hein tu naira?? tum jaante bi ho ki tumhare jaane ke baad kya haal hein... or tum is ladke sein shaadi kar rahi hon?

anurag: excuse me ye kyaa badtameezi hein u cant just come and hit my naira like that. aap apni had mein rahi ye warna mein bool jaungi ki aap mujhse badi hein 

naksh: badi dadi what the hell... abhi bhi aapko naira ki galti dik rahi hein? uss kartik ki nehi?

naira: rehne do bhai ye kabhi nehi smajhenge. waise bhi meri shaadi aaj hein app bhi hamare saath chaliye 

naksh: theek hein naira chalo chalte hein waise bi inloge kein moo nehi lagne chahiye

naira was about to leave with them just then keerti came to slap her but this time anurag's strong hand stopped her. insted he had slapped her.

naksh: how dare u keerti? why were u gonna slap naira? i warned u to stay out of all this.u did good anurag 

anurag: doobara meri naira koh tappad marne ke baare mein soch na bi mat

they all leave for new york
