tamayo leads you all into a simple room with a few painting adorning the walls.
you sit down next to tanjiro, while nezuko makes herself comfortable by laying down on the floor.
"hey, nezuko, that's bad manners!" he scolds to which tamayo just smiles "that's quite alright. please make yourselves at home".
tanjiro nods and takes the box off his back, going to place it right beside him, making you scoot over slightly.
"now then, allow me to continue" tamayo says.
"i adjusted our bodies so that we can live without feeding on humans. a small amount of human blood is all we need" she explains, making your eyes slightly sparkle.
"blood? you mean.." tanjiro trails off.
"you may find it distasteful, but what i do is buy blood.. under the guise of transfusions from those unable to make ends meet. of course, no more than would impair them"
you nod and smile behind your muzzle.
' i see. that's why i'm not picking up a distinctive demon smell from them. but they do need human blood after all. if blood is all they need, then nezuko...' tanjiro thinks.
"yushiro can get by with even less blood. i'm the one who turned him into a demon" tamayo says, making both yours and tanjiro's eyes widen, while nezuko just slides back and forth on the tatami mats.
"you did?" tanjiro questions.
"but.." he trails off and makes noises of confusion.
"you're right. it's generally held that no one but kibutsuji can increase the number of demons. that's more or less accurate." she explains.
"in over 200 years, i was only able to transform yushiro into a demon after all"
