Carl's POV
As I see Enid re-enter Alexandria I walk out of my home and head towards the girl and pull her off to the side.
"Did you find her?" Carl asks the girl
Enid looks at Carl for a couple of seconds, she opens her mouth to speak only to shut it again. She sighs and looks at him
"No Carl, I'm sorry I couldn't find her." She shakes her head
"Dammit." The boy sighs looking down
"I'm sure she's fine, she's smart and knows how to survive. Carl she'll be okay" she reassures the boy
"No, it not that it's just. My dad is out recruiting another group to fight with us against the saviors and I keep thinking that if I die"-
"Don't say that. You're not going to die" she says
"If I die. I'll have left things unfinished with her" he sighs looking down
"Carl, look when this is all over I'm sure you'll be able to find her and you're going to be able to see her again" the says
"Maybe" he sighs walking away from the girl

As Carl sits in his bedroom he hears a knock sound at his door. He opens it up to reveal his father, Carl sighs and opens the door wider to welcome his dad
"What's up?" Carl asks sitting at his desk
Rick sighs and looks at his son
"We're heading up to hilltop to talk to Maggie and Gregory— see if they want to help end this." He tells the boy
"Okay, so why do you look like there's a problem?" Carl says
"I think it's time to do that thing we've talked about. I know you don't want to but it's the only way" Rick says
"What?" Carl says
"You need to get Angelina— bring her back here" he says
"So in other words you want me to kidnap my girlfriend?" Carl says to his father
"Girlfriend?" Rick says through farrowed brows
"Whatever" Carl says rolling his eyes
