"woohoo!" I yelled as I landed in the ballpit. It seems like just yesterday I had signed up to take the night shift at the local amusement center I was told by the day shift crew I was replacing someone named Vanessa.

Apparently there had been too many 'coincidences' with her on the job so they moved her to help at the bowling alley. When I was told my job would be at a daycare center just keeping the daycare attendant out of trouble I was initially bummed.

A daycare? Sticky stinky kids? Yuck! But the daycare attendant was someone..... Unforgettable to say the least. He was an animatronic.

I didn't really expect to be babysitting a god damn animatronic but on the first day- he was really kind.

We laughed and played with glitter glue, I had to scold him a few times for getting glitter glue everywhere and sticking googly eyes on the computer screen but, it wasn't all bad.

After a few days of working at the daycare, and my sleep schedule getting messed up, I had grown a small delicate crush on the daycare attendant.

It slowly started to get in the way of my interactions with Sundrop. Him doing simple things such as talking with his silly voice and laughing made my heart skip a few beats. Just thinking about him made my face slightly flush and my hands to become clammy.

I had to do something about it but I was too shy. My feelings have been quite..... delicate over time, and I was afraid of getting rejected. And as silly as it sounds getting rejected by a robot is still as heartbreaking as getting rejected by a real human guy!

But, I already made up my mind. And honestly I hate myself for it. I don't wanna ruin our friendship by me just having a silly crush, no! I love Sundrop more than I love myself and, the thought of him just leaving me like so many others made me tear up

But it wasn't exactly like I could back down now. I was determined, and I will confess my feelings to Sundrop! Today and right now! Right after we get settled in I'll Confess, and it will all be perfect from there.... Totally!

As I slid down the twisty slide I landed in the familiar ballpit with a laugh. It was 2 in the morning and Sundrop wasn't out yet. I quickly swam my way back up to the surface of the deep ballpit, enough for my head to pop out.

I stared in awe and two big lights turned on, shining at a familiar curtained balcony. In almost an instant the curtains were drawen and revealed a happy Sundrop. With a big smile on his face he took a leap off the balcony and dove into the ballpit.

A smile tugged at the ends of my lips as I swam through the ballpit, and soon enough two cold metal hands found their way to my hips and lifted me out of the ballpit. I giggled as I stared down at the daycare attendant.

"Oh! A familiar friend up late as usual!" He exclaimed and carried me to the play palace with his usual dialogue. As he set me down I fretted him with a shy but friendly smile "Hello there Sundrop! I hope I didn't disturb your beauty rest did I?"

I giggled as he playfully gasped, pretending to be offended "No you didn't silly! On fact I was waiting for you! I've been done with my charging almost an hour ago in fact" he said with his usual goofy tone. My cheeks lightly dusted with red. He was waiting for me? Well that surely got my hopes up

My lips curled up as I started walking towards the front desk of the daycare "Oh did you now Goofball? Well if you did infact finish charging guess your wasting half of it on watching me do paperwork" Sundrop gagged at this, sticking his tongue out in disgust "Ewwww!! Y/n why do that when we could do arts and crafts??? I even got some new glitter glue with star shaped glitter!!"
