brand news everyone! i have published my legacies story, Heavy Lies the Head
it's a Henrik Mikaelson featured story, and how his sister has suddenly gone missing and disappeared from their families minds so he goes back home and eventually the Salvatore School to try and find her and what happened

DO NOT WORRY, i won't go with the tropes you've seen, i will be doing my best to make it a great story
now, if you have doubts, if you have mistrust in those tales, i understand, i rant about them all the time, but i would like to explicitly state that i don't think hope twin stories are bad, they're just rooted in bad tropes and mischaracterization a lot of them have good plot points or development but it'll get lost around the usual 'forgotten twin' tropes or 'lost twin' or even 'separated twin raised in beacon hills as scott's/stiles'/ lydia's/derek's adoptive sister' and it's weird, and don't get me started when they make the twin part banshee, part wendigo, part fairy, part angel, part siren, part fucking dragon and a student at hogwarts
anyway, i try my best to make henrik feel like he could be in the actual show, like he's been raised by hayley alongside hope, he's the type of tribrid as hope is, the only big difference is she's the firstborn so she's got some kick to her power but that doesn't mean he isn't powerful in his own right
i also make sure to include the family, make them feel like they're still part of their lives
i have henrik talk about the salvatore school and why he left
i also change up malivore and downgrade the monsters as well as the constant superhero references
i have him go through his own development that doesn't include blaming his family for how he is, if anything, they're supportive and try to help. the one thing we can all agree on is while the originals themselves were toxic to a certain degree, they've never been that way towards hope so it stands to reason they wouldn't be like that with her brother
i bear no personal ill will towards other hope twin stories, i may not like them but im not saying 'those suck, mines the best, fuck the north' (i just finished watching the witcher) im saying, i've noticed a certain pattern other stories went in and i went in a different one to suite my style
honestly, most of what i just picked apart has to do with my disappointment in the show rather than the fanfics on here
anyway, i hope you take a look at it, i hope you stick by it and i hope you like it
