"Congrats, Zander!" bati ni Braxton kay Zander noong makalapit ito.
Ngiti lang ang ginanti ni Zander kay Braxton sabay tabi sa gilid ko.
"Let's celebrate?" aniya pa.
"I would love that." saad naman ni Leigh na hindi na dala ang anak. Napalingon tuloy ako para hanapin ang anak nito.
"Nasa mga magulang ni Braxton. They love Asher so much." saad ni Leigh sa akin. Halata ba masyado na hinanap ko ang anak niya? Napayuko tuloy ako dahil sa hiya.
"I was just guessing." aniya agad noong napagtantong nahiya ako dahil nalaman niya ang iniisip ko. Tumango lang ako sa kanya.
"You can freely talk to me. Don't worry. I don't judge. My husband told me actually that he sees the old me in you." sunod sunod niyang saad. "You don't need to be shy on me. You can even make me your own diary. I'm a board certified psychologist, by the way. Hindi kasi tayo masyadong nakapag-usap kanina."
"Do you deal with traumas?" tanong ko agad sa kanya nang malaman kung anong trabaho niya.
"Yes. I do therapies. I help people in their journey to healing. Gusto ko kasing makatulong sa ibang tao lalo na't malaki rin ang naitulong ng therapy sa akin." saad niya naman. Naalala ko tuloy si Macy. She wants a therapist whom si knows she can trust. Baka pwede si Leigh nalang ang professional na tutulong sa amin. Magiging confident rin siguro akong magpatherapist kapag si Leigh ang professional na titingin sa amin.
"Macy and I are planning to visit a therapist. She wants me to see a therapist also. But she wants someone whom she can trust to. Now that you mention about your job, is it okay if you check us? Or your base in here? Galing kasi kaming Consolacion, Cebu. Masyadong malayo ang Oslob sa Consolacion." saad ko sa kanya.
"Oh... Don't worry. I'm city-based. You should visit my clinic. It's near SM Cebu. Let's talk about it more when you visit my clinic. You can share to me everything you wanted there. For now, let's go eat brunch and enjoy the sceneries." aniya pa. Tumango lang ako, kinarga si Macy na manghang-manghang nakatingin sa ama, at sinundan si Leigh na papunta na sa kung saan... siguro sa rest house nila.
"Where are we going?" tanong pa niya sa akin.
"To our rest house, Macy. Susunod nalang ang daddy Zander at Ninong Braxton mo sa atin." tugon ni Leigh kay Macy.
"We're here." saad ni Leigh nang makarating kami sa isang puting rest house. The house is so classy. It screams purity and peace.
"Ninang... your house screams like peace. The ambiance is so comfy and cosy. But why are there so many fire extinguisher? What are those screw looking objects at the ceiling?" kuryosong saad ni Macy sa Ninang nang makapasok kami sa living room. Napalingon din tuloy ako sa paligid. Maybe Leigh just wants to be safe from fire. Sabi pa naman niya kanina na may trauma siya sa apoy. Hindi na ako nagkomento at tahimik lang akong naupo sa sofa habang nakikinig lang sa pag-uusap nila Leigh at Macy.
"Thank you, Macy. I'm glad that you find it comfy. Because Ninang had a hard time feeling at home inside a house, Macy. That's why when we built this rest house... I made sure to it that I would feel peace inside it. Those things are water sprinklers, Macy. I just want to feel more safe. That's why they are there. The same goes for the extinguishers."
