as children we read cheesy romance novels where the naive damsel in distressed is saved from the fire breathing dragon by the handsome knight in shining armour. they get married almost directly on the spot, despite the fact they knew little too nothing about each other, let alone simple things such as each other's favourite dessert. we grow up, believing that love is the answer to all our problems, that nothing could ever be so horrid if we have love.
