Friends Forever

The King and the Kid

(This might be my first time doing a fanfiction about these two.)

Custard looked around the kingdom wishing to do something, but he felt kind of bored with nothing going on. He walked through the town waving to the others and decided to go to the playground to be by himself. The young cookie went up to the bench and sat down feeling kind of lonely until he heard a familiar voice which sounds high-pitched.

???: "Custy!"

He let out a little noise of surprise and wonder who said his name and looks around.

Custard: "Who was that, sounds like someone?"

???: "I'm down here!"

Custard looked down to see none other than Pancake smiling up at him as he waves to him giggling before clinging to his legs.

Custard: "Oh, hey there Pancake!"

Pancake: "Hi! What are you doing?"

Custard: "Just sitting. There's not much happening."

Pancake: "Okay. Um... can I sit with you?"

Custard: "Don't mind!"

Pancake squeals happily as he tries to get up onto the bench but can't and starts to get cranky with tiny tears letting out a little sniffle.

Custard: "Don't worry, lemme help you."

Pancake reaches out to Custard who lifts him up like a baby and puts the kid down next to him as the two lean into each other being happy.

(Yes, one of my head canons is Pancake being the smallest out of the other cookie kids)

Custard: "Here. You're next to me!"

Pancake: "Yay, thank you so much!"

He gives Custard a little hug making him smile and gently holds his hand.

Custard: "No worries."

Pancake: "Thanks. so... what do you wanna do?"

Custard: "Probably talk with each other."

[The two sit with each other and feel calm]

Pancake: "Can I ask you something?"

Custard: "Sure thing."

Pancake: "Is... is it true that you have a dad?"

[Pancake waits for Custard to speak but notices him being sad]

Custard: "Yes... I do have a dad... But, he's gone. I-I miss him..."

Pancake: "Oh, I'm sorry for asking that..."

Custard: "Hey, it's okay. You were being curious."

[He gently hugs the younger kid before placing Pancake on his lap facing him]

Custard: "I wonder what you look like without your hood?"

(The hoodie from his suit costume thing or whatever that is)
