Sanditon- Jane Austen and Kate Riordan

If the author credit is confusing, it's because this was the very last book Jane Austen wrote before she died. She wrote about 100 pages before she passed away, and Kate Riordan (sponsored by Masterpiece on PBS) picked it up and rewrote it. It has the mark of Jane Austen with a touch more racy scandal added to it.
I think too much was happening in it. Some plotlines could have been reduced to make the plot less dreary and suffocating. There's nothing like a good period piece that takes place with head strong female characters and men written by women to soothe the soul. It was still a great read.
Until the end. Which made me cry. Damn you.
