she blooms, gently birthed,
admist the fragrances of the wild:
silk dress unfurls to pastel skies
moonlight butterflies
and glistening calla lilies
pure, white
and beautiful,
caressed by the sweetened lullaby
of angelic lovebirds.

golden beams peek
through the shifting clouds
as he finds her reeking of roses,
skin glittering like starbursts
carved in marble-
the buzzing of fireflies
carried her name upon his lips;
p e r s e p h o n e.

she's drawn
to the depths far beneath-
a pomegranate, glossed
with reddened blush unfurls
in her throat
and sin runs, like milk and honey
as the earth sleeps:
the flush fairness of spring fades
in his famished embrace.
