Chapter 58 - The first attack

Outside the Sanctum, people were running scared, traffic was piling up and there was a wind stronger than there should have been in New York.

The others followed you out of the Sanctum as you looked around for what was causing people to run scared. You went in the direction the people were running from.

When you turned the corner to the left you saw some sort of alien spaceship and you felt familiar minds and energy coming from it.

"It's Thanos' goons" You warned the others as you got ready for another fight with them, silently praying that Thanos wasn't actually with them. You could handle the goons

"Hey! You might wanna put that Time Stone in your back pocket, Doc!" Tony shouted to Stephen over the roar of the wind

"Might want to use it instead" Stephen countered, green sparkles now glowing around his arms as he did some sort of spell that made the wind go away.

"F.R.I.D.A.Y., evac anyone south of 43rd Street, notify first responders" Tony said as he put his interactive AI sunglasses on

You looked over at the spaceship again to see who you were about to face down. You saw the squid man and some big lizard-orc looking guy walking calmly towards where you were all standing

"Hear me, and rejoice...You are about to die at the hands of the Children of Thanos. Be thankful, that your meaningless lives are now contributing to the balance of-" The squid man started saying

"Hey, Squidward! Earth is closed today!" Tony shouted jovially to him

Squidward didn't look overly happy about Tony talking to him but when he saw you and Loki, he smirked. "Ah, so this is where the golden eyed warrior sent you? Shame he had to die just to bring you here."

You felt like you had been thrown into a moving van at this. Heimdall was gone? No...he couldn't be! You'd already lost so much to these monsters, you wouldn't let anything happen to your friends. You tried to keep yourself calm but you could feel the anger rising in you and your eyes and hands began to glow.

"Bring me the stone," Squidward simply said to the lizard-orc and it started charging at you.

You picked up a car with your magic and threw it at the lizard guy, who knocked it out of the way with his strange hammer looking weapon

"I think it's time the big guy made an appearance," Tony said quietly to Bruce

"I'm trying! He wont come out!" Bruce strained as you looked over to him and saw him phasing between Hulk and Bruce

"What do you mean he won't come out?!" Tony demanded

"I don't know, Tony! He won't come out!" Bruce exclaimed

"Dude, you're embarrassing me in front of the wizard!" Tony exclaimed

"Tony, I'm sorry. Either I can't or he won't--" Bruce stammered

"Hey, it's okay. Sit this one out. It's been a rough few days" You smiled sympathetically to him then turned to Loki who was looking terrified at the aliens. "Look after Bruce for me, please? Don't let him get hurt"

"But what about you?!" He argued

"I can take care of myself" You smiled back to him. You knew he didn't want you fighting these aliens but he also knew you couldn't lose Bruce. So he accepted you asking him to look after Bruce

Tony tapped his chest twice and his Iron Man suit seemed to encase him from nowhere

"Where'd that come from?" you asked him, impressed

"It's nano-tech. You like it?" He grinned

"Love it" you grinned back to him as your attention was snapped back to the aliens in front of you. "Let's tango" You smirked and picked up three cars with your magic and threw them all at the lizard-orc. He managed to knock two of the three away but the third came too quickly for him and he was knocked back a few paces by it.

Squidward created a spike of earth and threw it at Tony, who flew into the air to dodge it.

"Dr. Banner, if the rest of your green friend won't be joining us...." Stephen said and opened a portal underneath Bruce and Loki and they both fell through. At least they were out of harm's way, wherever that was. Now you could concentrate on the fight in front of you

"We have to keep the stone safe!" You yelled to Tony who was dodging more of Squidward's attacks as you put a shield around the lizard-orc and slammed him into a nearby building. Tony would pay for the damages

You lifted yourself into the air to hover by Tony. "You've gotten good since you've been gone" He said proudly to you

"I've always been good" You smirked. "We need to lure these assholes away from the stone" You insisted. Tony nodded and you both flew through the away from where Stephen was to a nearby park.

The lizard-orc followed you both, leaving Stephen with one opponent

"Incoming!" Tony yelled as the lizard-orc threw himself at you both. Tony moved out of the way but you stood your ground and put a shield up around you, blocking the hammer. He tried to push through our shields but he wasn't having any luck. You let out a big wave of magic and blew him backwards and straight into a tree.

A beam of energy shot out of Tony's hand and was aiming for the lizard-orc but it bounced off his weapon that had extended into a shield and nearly hit you. You managed to dodge it as the last second

The lizard-orc charged Tony and sent him flying into a tree of his own. He lifted his hammer above Tony and just as you put up a shield around Tony, some guy in a red bodysuit jumped in front of him and blocked it

"Hey, man. What's up, Mr. Stark?" The red suit guy said. He sounded like a kid!

Tony looked up and replied, "Kid, where'd you come from?"

"Oh, I was on a field trip-" The kid started to say, but the lizard-orc grabbed him and threw him to the side

"Who's the kid?!" You shouted to Tony

"Oh, that? That's Peter Parker!" Tony shouted back to you as he shot the lizard-orc which knocked him back a few paces

"He's a child!" You shouted your response as you lifted lizard-orc into the air and slammed him back into the ground, seemingly disorientating him a little

"What is this guy's problem, Mr. Stark?" Peter called out to Tony as he was swinging back over to us from some sort of white sting. Then it clicked when you saw the spider on Peters chest

"He's from space. He came here to steal a necklace from a wizard" Tony roughly explained as he flew around lizard-man, shooting his energy beams at him

"So you're Spider-Boy or something?" You asked Peter when he landed next to you

"Well, Spider-Man," He said awkwardly. "Who're you?"

"I'm Y/N, Tony's adopted daughter" You grinned as you blasted the lizard-orc with your magic, knocking him away from you and Peter

"Nice to meet you!" Peter said as the lizard-orc grabbed Peter again and threw him aside. This boy needed to pay more attention, you thought, shaking your head as you drew your sword
