There were many people who did not like being woken up early in the morning.
Haru was one of those people.
So as much as he liked his best friend, he did not appreciate her pelting his window with stones to wake him up at 5:30 in the morning. He also didn't appreciate how his parents didn't even bother to get up to check anymore. They were jonin for Kami's sake!
He grumpily walked towards his window, opening it with a yawn.
"What?" he groaned, looking at the small blur of black and red on the ground. She was in her ninja gear already?
"Hey Haru! Get down here, I need to show you something cool!" she yelled.
"Keep it down, brat!" he heard another shout.
"That better not be you again, half blood Uchiha!" another shout.
Haru scowled at the house that voice came from. Bastards.
He had heard several people judge her without even knowing her. Some about how she would be a prodigy, some about how she was a disgrace for not having awakened the Sharingan, some about all Uchiha were traitorous scum, some about how she'd be arrogant and proud, it never ended.
What annoyed Haru the most was that none of these were even close to the truth.
She wasn't as calm and collected as people expected her to be as an Uchiha, quiet the opposite actually. She talked a lot, and showed a lot of emotions in general. She was like an open book.
She wasn't arrogant, quiet the opposite. She even told him that she had self-esteem issues when she was much younger, and Haru assumed she developed them in order to somehow prove people wrong.
She wasn't a genius, she wasn't bad either but except for graduating two years earlier than most of them, she hadn't done anything all that remarkable.
She wasn't planning vengeance on the village, like most people expected her to. Aside from wanting to travel and meet new people, she had always showed love for the village. Specially for the swing in the park, it was her favorite spot.
So Haru really couldn't understand why people would eye her with judgemental looks. Yes, she was half-Uchiha, but he thought ten years would be enough to get over the fact. Even his parents didn't seem too fond of her presence at first after learning her last name, however after a week of them knowing her, they only found her antics annoying.
Which honestly were annoying.
"Why are you here at 5 in the morning?" Haru grumbled.
"Hey! Good morning!" Akari grinned excited. "You won't believe this really amazing thing I found in this book!"
Haru grunted in response, leaning against a wall, trying to sleep while standing.
"Hey! Are you listening?" Akari waved her arms in front of him.
"Hm, book what?"
Akari sighed. "Did you know you could find your chakra nature?" Akari grinned excitedly.
"Iruka sensei said something about it in class," he paused to yawn. "He said it's usually the same as what your parents have."
Akari frowned slightly. She didn't know her parents. Even though Uchiha clan specialized in fire style.
"Like mine would be water," Haru shrugged. His clan, the Mizuhi clan, specialized in water-jutsus.
"You knowing everything makes it less fun," Akari pouted. "Anyways, did you know you can actually check it using chakra paper!? Isn't that like so cool? Want to check it out?" she asked excited.
