In the morning/afternoon a call was made to the Police Department coming from a motel on March 31, 1995, about a woman dashing in the lobby of a Days Inn hotel claiming she's been shot the tried and tried to keep her with them and this is how the call went
Operator- 9-1-1 what your location?
Caller-Days Inn Motel 901 Navigation Boulevard. We have a woman ran in the lobby...she's been shot...she's laying on the floor and there's blood.
Operator- How old is she?
Caller- She looks about 20.
(Chaos in the background)
Operator- She's in the lobby right now?
Caller- Yes Ma'am...she just passed out.
Operator- Ok, alright you have to call in...
Caller- I think you need to send a police unit too...
Operator- It'll go off from here.
Caller- Ok.
Operator- You don't know anything else about who might have done it? Or anything like that?

Caller- I don't know...they shot somebody and she's taking off.
Operator- With a vehicle or on foot?
Caller- She's in a vehicle or on foot?... They don't know.
Operator- We need somebody... Can get us some information so we can get the suspect... I've already got the ambulance and the police over there... They're En Route.
Caller- I need a car... A road car.
Operator- What does she look like?
Caller- Her name is Yolanda.
Operator- Yolanda?
Caller- Uh huh.
Operator- She's the suspect?
Caller- Yes ma'am
Operator- What her last name?
Caller- S-A-L-D-I-V-I-A
Operator- She's the suspect?
Caller- Yes ma'am
Operator- S-A-L-D-I
Caller- She's with Selena incorporated... The lady from the...the singer.
Operator- But where did she go?
Caller- Do you know which way she went? Where she went?
Operator- We've already got police and ambulance En Route... But if someone can give me some information... We can catch her...
Caller- She can't tell us nothing... The lady that's shot is laying down on the floor.
Operator- Ok where did she get shot? At what part of her body
Caller- What part of the body did she...she don't. (inaudible)... Police are on the phone. What part of the body did she get shot at?... (Commotion in background) ...In her back
Operator- In the back, ok. If y'all come across any information on the suspect... You call me right back...
