Chapter 7 - Vigilant

The Shadow Cerberus and the Curse horse clash, ripping each other’s apart while they keep regenerating over and over.

But the horse vanished when Dullahan got another of his hand cut off.

Purple blood splattered everywhere.

Slowly, Dullahan gets desperate.

But then he looks like he has found a glimpse of an idea to overpower his enemy.

Numbers.

He retreated.

「WITH ME! 」

He calls back his army.

The monster army has abandoned their fight with the heroes and grouped up behind their liege.

「How do you like that, human? 」

The scythe user taunted.

But to his surprise, the human grinned whilst murmuring a word.

「Come forth」

Thousands of monsters and knights arise from the human's shadow.

And the Dullahan’s eyes widened once more, as the heroes followed suit.

「It can’t be! You- you’re-! 」

. . .「A Monarch. 」


That statement gets Yuuki's attention.

「Then why do we-!?」

Dullahan paused his rant before pondering a little bit.

But after that pondering, he has gone agitated instead.

「KILL THEM! KILL HIM! GO! ALL OF YOU! 」

Even though this brought confusion to Yuuki, he commanded his army to respond.

「Kill them. 」

And thus, the real war has begun.

The two continued fightings whilst the hero watch.

They wanted to interfere, but sensing the dangerous aura that came from the two black figures made them think otherwise.

Except for one, all might, was trying to figure out the boy who saved him.

「I’ve got you! 」

「Idiot. 」


SLAAAASH*

The sound of a slashing echoes loudly accompanied by a sound of a rolling ball.

That “ball” was actually ahead covered in a hood.

Its eyes widened dangerously before the glow died out, leaving a featureless head covered in cloth.

Yuuki grabs the head and throws it at one of his soldiers.

His soldiers somehow began collecting dead monsters’ carcasses and began scattering and completely dispersed from the battlefield.

Leaving Yuuki, some leftovers monsters who still live, and of course, the heroes.

「Well then heroes, 」

「Wait!」

「I shall bid you, Adieu.」

And with that, he teleported with Dullahan's dead body, leaving the heroes in the dust.

Yuuki Kagurazaka’s POV

Well, that happened.

After that event, it was stated on the news that a new vigilante; Necro, has joined the ring.

「Boy age from 12 to 16, black-haired, red eyes, black clothing, and a black mask.

The boy has multiple quirks to summon unknown shadow-like creatures, superhuman strength, and uses two daggers in combat.

He claims his name as “Necro”」

Uwaaah how edgy.

Maa~ seeing the heroes got problems dealing with the dungeon, maybe I can use this to force- I mean, “negotiate “.

Principal Nedzu is having a meeting with the other heroes.

「This Necro, we need to find out and apprehend him immediately! That kind of power, He might have connections to Kayaba himself! 」

That laughter came from me.

I said that with a grin just to mess with them.

「The moment Kayaba changes this godforsaken world with his “quirk”, it has always been a game.

Many pondering faces can be seen.

I ended my speech there as I used shadow exchange to go home, leaving the confused heroes in the dust who now watches me replaced with a shadow infantry.

I don’t have evidence.

Dullahan called out to me.

Both of them were muscular and is covered by the monster’s blood.

He seemed to grow steel out from his body and stab the monsters to death.

His words were cut off by a knife cutting his hand that wielded a gun at me.

Screaming that, He fell to his knees.

It took his accomplice’s attention, unfortunately distracting him from the monsters.

The monsters grew violent and before he knew it, he was beaten on the head.

One guy is dead, one is crippled.

The other one who still lived now looked behind him to see his partner died.

And that didn’t stop me from killing him.

I knocked him out by hand and throw him at the monsters.

Now that I think of it, I saw the news this morning about civilians or villains starting raiding dungeons illegally.

Maa~ I'll think about that later.

「Come forth」

「Yes, my liege! 」

Dullahan sliced all of them in a second, and followed by Daine and Oroba, they killed all those monsters in a flash.

There are three ways to use the monster’s carcass.

Turn them a shadow, dismantle it yourself if you want to consume it, and finally, sell it at the beginners' store by using the system's auto-dismantle.

Which I would not recommend.

You can last with 3 years' worth of food from slaughtering the boars and dismantling them yourself rather than pressing that auto-dismantle button to get a horn and small fur.

And that is why…

「Get into the gate, slaughter them cleanly, I want to see only their headless bodies.」

I commanded the generals as they complied.

Turning my heads to from my three generals, the corpses of two villains.

Hmph, I didn’t get many samples for my quirk experiments, so turning them into my shadows will not be convenient…

I'll eat them with predator, for now, I guess.

Now then, 60 hours, I wonder how his “friend” will be turned out to be.
