Part 1Y/N or Elena?

You went on walk to blow off some steam, you and Stefan gotten into a huge argument based on the one person you've competed with... Elena. With every argument you had with Stefan it always seem to bring up Elena, you've never been too fond of her.

When Stefan told you about how Elena broke his heart multiple times you wanted to break her, but you couldn't since you were human and she's a vampire.

~Flashback~

You and Stefan were at the boarding house, doing your daily lunch. You and Stefan were happy today but something was bothering you and Stefan could sense that.

"What's wrong?" You hummed looking at Stefan from the back. "Nothing, just thinking." He stopped cooking, letting the food get simmer. He dust his hands and wipes them on a towel on top of the table. "That's not a nothing look, you're thinking about something. What is it?" You sighed, but also something told you not say anything but you went for it anyway. "I was just thinking why would hurt you so many times and you were still with her." You said, you could tell that Stefan was getting annoyed because this had to be the fifth time you asked this question.

"I also told you, Y/N." Stefan said, you looked at him as if you wanted more to that answer. "Ookay?" You shrugged your shoulders. "Y/N what do you want me to say? That back when I moved back here I was madly in love with Elena. Yes I was because she looked exactly like Katherine, but that wasn't why I fell for her.

I wanted to get to know her, but she wasn't the one for me." Stefan said with an attitude, he was tired of repeating this to you over and over again. "And what about now? I something see the way you look at her Stefan, and it's not a friend look at each other way." Stefan rolled his eyes losing his patience. "Y/N, I've told you many times before there's going in with Elena and I.

We broke up months ago!" He started to raise his voice at you. You were not liking his tone. "Oh really? What if you see me looking at Damon the way you see Elena?! Would you like it huh!" You walked from the kitchen to the living and Stefan was walking right behind you, he grabbed your arm and spin around to you to look at him.

"That's not the same thing?" You scoffed and laughed at his face. "Not the same thing Stefan?! It's the exactly the same thing! Damon and I dated while you and Elena were a thing!!" You yelled getting louder at each other. "Why are you always bringing this up?! Elena doesn't mean anything to me anymore?!" Stefan yelled. "Because, I see the way you look at her Stefan?! The way you look at her, you never look at me the way you do to her! Sometimes I think if you really deserve each other." You stormed off leaving the boarding house.

~End of Flashback~

As you kept walking your guard was down and had no idea someone was behind you, watching you. In a split second, someone covered your mouth drugging you turning your vision blurry and complete darkness. You wake up blindfolded, hands tied behind your back, and feet tied together.

You had nowhere to go but in the position you were in, which was extremely uncomfortable. Suddenly you felt two pair of hands trying taking off the blindfold, you were struggling because you were afraid who would you see as your kidnapper. "Don't touch me!" You squealed. "Please, please. Don't hurt me." As your lips were shivering of how frightened you were, tears falling down your eyes.

"Shhh, Y/N. it's me." You calmed down when the familiar voice spoke, Stefan? "Stefan? I-is that you?" Asking in a calming tone. As Stefan finally taking off the blindfold. "Yes it's me Y/N. I'm getting you out-" You cut Stefan off. "Wait! Stefan you can't." Stefan knotted his eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean I can't? Y/N I'm getting you out and that's that." You shake your head refusing him to let you go. "Stefan, you can't. Because I'm not alone here." Before Stefan could say another word, lights go on blinding you for a few seconds, we turn our heads seeing... Matt? (Spoiler alert!) "Matt, what the hell?!" Stefan got up standing in front of you protectively. Matt had crossbow pointing at us. "Sorry Matt is not here at the moment. My name is Greg." Matt having a thick accent, my eyes widen Matt has a traveler inside of him. Greg has been possessing Matt's body for over 2 weeks.

"Greg? Greg? Wait Greg, your working for Markus aren't you?" Greg/Matt smirked evilly, "What do you want with Y/N?" Greg/Matt lowers the crossbow and stares at us, he brings two fingers up to his mouth and whistles. Two men bringing out someone, a girl. Wait! It can't be... Elena? They drop her on the floor with the two men behind her. "Elena?!" Stefan sounded a bit broken-hearted when he saw Elena tied up the same way as you. Stefan starting walking up to her when Greg shot Stefan in leg making him stay in the middle of the room, Stefan groan in pain the arrow had vervain. "Stefan!!" You yelled from the top of your lungs, watching as your boyfriend being shot down. One man vamp speed to you while holding onto your neck but wasn't putting pressure on it, one stayed with Elena with a stake in his hand.

When Stefan saw the sight of his position he grew scared. "What do you want Greg?" Stefan still groaning in pain from the arrow in his leg, he couldn't remove it cause Greg's witch, hiding in the shadows, making go in further. "Easy. Choose." Stefan seemed there was a catch from Greg's answered. "What's the catch?" Stefan asked while watching both girls carefully but mainly at you. "Since you asked, the catch is if you pick one of these girls...one has to die." Stefan immediately glanced at you, your face was full fright.

"You see Y/N is in a bloodline of powerful witches and we need her, if we want to release Markos, we have to kill your precious Y/N. Her blood is the key to releasing Markos and of course her bloodline is the key, since Y/N has the Y/L/N's bloodline it's what created Markos and what kept Markos from rising again. As for Elena, she's the doppelgänger we need her blood for the ritual for releasing Markus and since Elena is vampire it's not necessary to kill her.

But that doesn't mean we can torture her by getting what we want, but you see we only need one person. Do we get Y/N or Elena? It's on your hands to see who lives and who dies." Elena shakes her head, she was afraid who Stefan was going to pick. "How do I know your telling me the truth? For all I know you can have a whole bucket of Elena's blood in the back?" Greg smirked but shaked his head. "Stefan if I wanted to kill Y/N, all I have to do is-" Greg holds up his hand making into a fist indicating the man to squeeze your neck. You felt your walls closing in making harder for you to breath.

Your mouth hanging wide open but no sound wasn't coming out. "STOP!" Greg rested his hand and the man let go of your neck and you finally let out a heavy breathe gasping for more air. "What happens when I choose the person?" Stefan asking in a worried tone, Stefan wasn't afraid for Elena's life since she was a vampire and it would literally take seconds for her to heal but he was more afraid of your position, they had to kill you in order to release Markos into the world and bring hell onto your town.

"One will leave unharmed never to be bothered again, we will not look, touch, or go near whoever you choose. The other will stay here either die for this ritual or be torture." "Stefan." You called to him, he refused to look at you. "Stefan." You say in low tone almost in a whisper. "Look at me please, Stefan." He finally turns his body and looks at you with sad eyes. "It's okay. It's okay." Tears running down your face, your voice breaking, your lips shivering. "Take Elena." His eyes widen at your answer. "Y/N don't-" Elena started speaking but the man with the stake backed her up making her shut up. "Stefan, take Elena.

She's important, she needs to be protected." Stefan had tears escaping from his lips while shaking his head refusing to accept your offer. "I'm not leaving you Y/N. I won't leave you." You shake your head, biting your lip down. "Stefan. I love you, I'll always love you. You'll see me soon. Okay, protect Elena." You say, Stefan closes his eyes letting his tears fall out and biting his lip finally accepting your offer.

In a split second Stefan grabs Elena and vamp speeds out of the warehouse, leaving you broken inside. Tears streaming down your face, the decision you made had to be the stupidest or the smartest plan you've ever made. You just basically sacrifice yourself to save everyone you ever love, including your beloved boyfriend. Stefan Salvatore.
