The bounty had to be hidden in a pile of sand. Wu said that it would be harder for Garmadon and his stone army to spot you out. However, it was a lot of work to just dig up the sand, and have it conceal the thing. It was a giant flying ship after all. Shoveling sand was worse than shoveling snow too. And that was your least favorite chore back when the monastery was still standing.
"The whole island seems to be swarming with the stone army," Kai came out of the trees after patrolling the area. "Garmadon probably knows that we're here."
"Good thing we ninja know how to hide," Jay said.
"This is so boring though!" you groaned. "I hate this even more now."
"Either way, I'd rather not hide from these things," Cole leaned onto his shovel. "Shouldn't we be fighting our way through them."
"But they don't have any apparent weakness, Cole," Zane said. "Fighting them would cost us our lives."
"Temple of Light, people," you sighed, launching another shovel-full of sand onto the bounty. "Temple of Light."
"Yeah, we know, but how do we get there?" Kai asked.
As if answering his question, Wu came out to the deck, the only part that wouldn't be buried in sand. The ship was tilted slightly, making it easy to slide right into the door. But because your father was so agile, he didn't slip up one bit.
"There might be an answer in Misako's scrolls," Wu said. "I was just about to call for you so she can share it."
"Perfect timing," you smiled. "No more shoveling!"
You entered a newly hidden bounty. The windows were covered so no light came through. It made the lights dye the wood a yellowish brown, even the parts that were red weren't safe from this. Misako was sitting at the table, a scroll rolled out. Nya was sitting next to her, waving as you came in. Dr. Julien was sitting at the head of the table, looking over the ancient scroll.
"So you found out how to get to the Temple of Light?" you asked.
"I at least think I did," Misako said. "If anything, you get to take a break from shoveling sand. You can go and search for the hidden temple. It's said in the scroll that it'll unlock the ninja's pure elemental abilities that they always had."
"So we get to fight something?" you said.
"Awesome!" Cole said. "I'm already getting happy feet!"
"It is also written that once the Green Ninja finds the instrument of peace, they will strike it and have the power of the ultimate spinjitsu master," Misako said.
"To put it blanky, you'll have the powers of a god," you leaned over Misako's shoulder. "You will invoke the power of the Golden Dragon. That's something I've never heard about."
"My father was the only one who practiced that fighting style," Wu said. "I was never able to learn it, nor Garmadon."
"That's all well and good, but where's the catch?" Kai said. "This is all too good to be true."
"The catch is that the temple can be anywhere on the island."
"Can't [Name] navigate us to it?" Nya asked. "The literal god of the moon shares a body with her."
"Alright! We have our own human compass!" Jay grinned. "We can just bring out Tohru and it's nothing!"
"Actually, I don't have Tohru come out unless it's super necessary," you scratched your cheek. "And I don't think finding an ancient temple will put our lives on the line too much."
