Kabanata 3

I hate to admit it but that is now the harsh fact.

Right after that grand wedding and dinner my family decided to stay at the hotel. So I don't have any other choice but to do the same.

Also, right after the wedding I immediately go to my-our room, do my night routine and sleep fast. Walang naganap na first night after that but we both slept in the sameroom, in the same bed.

Aside from the fact that we mentally have an agreement- hindi naman napag usapan verbally, yes, but I assumed because we both know that this is all just a facade of our so - called marriage. Only an act and nothing more than that.

Hindi naman siguro siya gagawa ng bagay na pagsisishan niya sa huli, unless he wants his name to be tarnish. That's one of the things I've notice about him. He's honorable and respectful but I can feel the arrogant aura.

And it pissed me off.

I was told that we'll- me and my husband, technically, are going somewhere. Kung normal na kasal ang nangyari we're probably in the honeymoon stage.

It's Tita Minerva. Minerva Orivida, the legal wife of the late Henry Orivida and the mother of my dear sister, Aldea Orvida. So, my step mother, to sum it up.

Her white floral dress swayed as she closed the door behind her and walked in my direction.

"What do you want?"

May gusto ka pa ba? 'Di ba nakuha mo na? Ang makasal ako sa lalaking 'yon, 'diba? She must be so happy because she's already living the dream.

Letting her mask down for awhile.

While she is smiling widely. I don't know kung ako ba ang mali but I find it insulting.

Still can't accept the fact that she can smile and live without limitations now, while I am suffering.

"Did she called you already?" she asks, pertaining to her daughter.

"Yeah," I said boredly.

As a matter of fact and tawag niya ang naging alarm clock ko. She's demanding a good story about the wedding last night, a detailed explanation.

"Good." as her eyes continued roaming around the room. "After breakfast you'll be leaving to San Lorenzo, to The Coriolles, to be exact." she added.

"Just two of us?"

She looked at me like I asked the dumbest question.

"Just the two of you." she said, seriously and full of finality.

"I'm expecting you to be at your best behavior. Gain his trust and crush it using a knife after.
