I smile. It's nice that Conrad got reunited with his big brother. But my chest was still tight. As if this is merely the calm before the storm.

"You okay, big bro?" Erika asks, putting a hand over mine.

I nod weakly. "Y-yeah."

Daddy raises a hand and sighs. "Find that hard to believe with that nod and weak 'yeah'." He turns his head away. "You're bothered by something, aren't you?"

I gulp. Daddy had hinted at there being more deaths, or at least losses of some kind akin to Takeshi's. What if Conrad ends up being one of those?

"Do Serra and Con have a happily ever after?"

His eyes widen. He sighs. "How about we continue the story?"

I nod. "Alright."

Mommy pats my head, giving me a thin smile. Know she means well, but she isn't exactly helping alleviate my worry.
