"again that is something only a dragon or dragonlord may know, while we are called dragonlords and we do have the ability to command them, the dragons are quite literally our kin our siblings, i intend to follow suit especially since to my knowledge i am the last dragonlord" i said

"of a sort, but my abilities are far more powerful, then that if i tell you something will happen you have my word it will unless of course you change it, for instance, murtagh will return to kidnap you" i said
"WHAT, WHEN" eragon yelled i raised my hand
"it will be after a major victory, you eragon, at the coaxing of the elf will get drunk after a death that hurts you both equally during that battle, which by the way you can help, i would recommend allowing me to speak with the girl you are having trouble with i have my means to get her to agree to aid you, and she is by far more important in this stage then you, boy" i said
"we appear the same age" eragon said annoyed
"that may be true but i have experience leading an entire army into a battle do you, i have also experienced true betrayel not the have coated betrayel you have felt from that other one who was forced to betray you and you would have done the exact same in his shoes" i said he was silent
"who betrayed you" eragon asked
"someone i thought as my partner, i envy the bond you have boy, it's a bond that is not easily broken, not even a dragonlords bond is so sealing, my predecessor merlin learned that" i said he looked a bit shocked
