So, this is my last plan. The most desperate measure yet.

If this doesn't work, nothing will.

"Alastor!" You called out, walking the halls of the hotel. You gnawed at your nails nervously, and your steps slowed every time you thought about your most flawed plan.

At some point, you nervousness took over as your calls became weaker and weaker and your paced steps stopped.

You tried to collect yourself, taking a deep breath and attempting to calm your nerves. Unfortunately you couldn't still the racing of your mind, and you could only laugh bitterly at yourself for acting so nervous toward your boyfriend.

"Hey, (Y/N)! Ya okay? You seem a bit winded." A voice sounded from behind you. Whirling around you met the face of Angel Dust, oddly comforting in your situation.

"Y-yeah. Um, have you seen ah, Al?" You asked, tugging at the hem of your shirt.

He looked you up and down for a second, his holding way more understanding than you could ever have yourself. Then, he shrugged and pointed a thumb behind him.

"He's in his office, duh. Tried 'ta sneak in but he caught me and I ended up back in the lobby." He stated, causally. You gave him an incredulous look before slightly chuckling.

With a smug grin, he walked past you and you realized that sly bastard managed to actually calm your nerves more than you could've done for yourself.

"Hey Angie?"

"Yeah?" He asked, turning to face you before he completely left your line of sight.

"Thanks." You gave him a grateful grin, and you could see his eyes glaze over with a sense of bittersweet.

"No probs toots," He said, turning back around. "You owe me some drugs if ya survive whatever ya got planned today." He added, snickering to himself. Despite his playful exterior, you could still catch a hint of concern in his voice.

"You got it, Ange." You said, walking the opposite way toward Alastor's office. You realized your nerves had, in fact, been calmed. You couldn't feel your heart hammering in your chest anymore, and the urge of chewing your nails had lessened to nothing.

You took a deep breath, standing before Alastor's office, and raised your hand to knock.

"Look who we have here." A static-y voice sounded from far too close behind you.
Whirling around for the second time today, you were met by Alastor's face. It held faux smugness, but you could see past that to the question riddled in his eyes.

He held a cup of coffee, and his ear twitched just slightly. Eyelids lowered into a silent question, you quickly opened your mouth to speak and not say something ridiculously dumb.

"Ah, hi," You cleared your throat, confidence down the drain. "I, ah."

"You?" He raised a brow, obviously finding your awkwardness amusing.

"I." Fake it till you make it, I guess. "How about we talk about this in your office?" You said, false confidence lacing your voice.

He looked like he stifled a chuckle, but opened his door nevertheless. Letting you inside first, you made yourself comfy on his chair.

"Now, what could you possibly want from me-"

"I want to make a deal."

He paused, his entire figure frozen. You could see his eyes catching up to what you said, and he raised both of his brows questioningly.
