A/N - Well we are finally back to Eden's POV, I hope you've liked hearing the perspectives of other characters. I'm at Chapter 26 and have finally got on idea on how I'm going to end the book so now it's just getting there but not too soon but also not too far away.
A week later...
I am currently sitting at the dining room table... at Asher's house. I've only been her for a couple of minutes but the nerves are really starting to build up inside me. "Mum, do you mind if I show Eden around the house?" Asher asks his mum and he gives me a quick wink.
"You can if you want," Mrs O'brien replies and then she takes a seat next mum. At least we got out of their way.
"Well, this is the study and there's my dad," he tells me.
"Hi, who would this be Asher?" Mr O'brien questions.
"Dad, this is Eden Withers and she is my..." he says taking a quick breath, "girlfriend."
I smile and he continues showing me his house. The final room he shows me is his bedroom and this is when the nerves are really beginning to kick in. He closes the door behind him, he sits on the edge of his bed and gestures for me to sit on his knee. I sit on his knee in a nervous manner. He places his gentle hand on the back of my head, and gently tips me back. My heart is starting to pound and I really don't know where this is going, but I am relieved when all he does is one simple thing.
He leans towards me and begins to raise my head up slightly. The next thing I know is that our lips are connected. Moving in perfect coordination, I run my tongue across his top teeth and he repeats the same gesture. A little tug on my lips with his teeth and a little tickle with his tongue. It was great but we are soon interrupted... "Asher! Dinner's ready!" I hear his mum yelling from the kitchen. Phew, I quickly jump off his knee and wipe my mouth a little getting rid of any traces that show we were kissing. It's ok though, it was only a kiss. Asher and I walk down the hallway, not quite hand in hand.
"Eden, what do you think of the house?" Mrs O'brien asked me.
"It's lovely," I respond truthfully because it is a truly gorgeous house.
That is when silence errupts at the dinner table. Plates are given out and we all help ourselves to what we would like to eat. A shocked look appears on my mothers face when Mr O'brien takes a seat at the head of the table and speaks. "So, how long have you too known each other?"
"Um... we've known each other f..." I am silenced by my mother who is disgusted I would even dare say a word at the table. I stand up and take a couple of steps away from the table. "We've known each other for several years because we've always been in the same classes but it wasn't until about a month ago when we really got to know each other. Sorry about mum, we always eat dinner in silence." I say. A wave of silence is brushed over the table again as I sit back down. Ugh... why can't she just accept that this isn't her house.
...
Everyone had finally finished eating so Mrs O'brien overloaded me with a wild variety of questions which I mostly answered truthfully apart from the ones about Asher and I kissing.
"Mum... do you mind if Eden helps me out with some homework?" Asher asks politely.
"Mrs Withers, Are you ok with them together in Asher's room?" Mrs O'brien ask my mother.
"That should be fine just don't get up to anything you shouldn't be," my mother replies.
"Um... Mrs Withers, do you mind if I kiss your daughter for the first time? We are still going to do homework now, I was just wondering for in the future," I hear Asher whisper as he pushes me gently down the hallway.
"Since you asked so nicely, Yes. Don't kiss her if she doesn't want to be though. Oh and nothing more than a simple kiss," I hear my mum giving a small lecture followed by Asher's footsteps as he makes his way into his room.
"So you're going to kiss me for the 'first' time?" I ask putting emphasise on the first.
"Yeah, but only if you want," he responds. I look up at him and give a quick roll of my eyes.
"Of course," I say and crash my lips softly into his. We move our lips together and I take a quick peak with open eyes and look around the room and freeze suddenly when I see an unexpected object.
