Leo Valdez, the world's tool broken beyond repair

Why?!

Ok, don't kill me. I am so sorry that it took me forever to update. I'm going to stop rambling. ON TO THE STORY!

Recap: "Leo, will you come home with us?" Jason asked, breaking the silence.

The godlings held their breath, waiting for the son of Hephaestus's answer.

"No."

Third-person

Then all Hades broke loose.

"WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN 'NO'?!"

"WE'LL DRAG YOU BACK TO CAMP IF WE HAVE TO!"

"Why?"

Leo took a deep breath. He knew this was coming.

"Guys, I don't want to go back to camp. What if I hadn't run away? You guys would have been cyclopes' meat. You will go back to camp. I'll stay here. Simple as that."

The demigods were shocked at how hesitant and firm Leo was about not going back to camp. They thought he jump at the action to go home. When they looked at him they saw he was serious, something that was rare for the young mechanic. 

"Guys, I'm supposed to stay here. You weren't the first people to stumble across me. I have helped demigods from both camps. I enjoy it here. I have Festus to keep me company and the occasional demigod I have found."

They had never thought about if he'd helped other people. They just wanted their son of Hephaestus back.

"Leo," Piper tried. "The camp has suffered without you. Your cabin is silent. The whole camp is silent without you." She had tears dripping down her face.

Leo looked at the daughter of Aphrodite. "Beauty Queen, I'm so sorry I had to put you through that but the camp was starting to feel like every foster home I've been to. I felt like I was annoying everyone. I was a disappointment. I saved the world with the Smart Annabeth, Beautiful Piper, Loyal Percy, Strong Jason, Brave Frank, and Kind Hazel. I was the throwaway, the background character. Just as my aunt said, 'Seven is an Unlucky number.' You all had someone. I had someone for a short time then they always leave. My mom, Festus, Calypso. There are others. But either people leave me or I me forced to leave. I left before either of those happened."

To say the least the seven were shocked. Leo had dropped two truth bombs on them in one sitting. They realized how little they knew before about the small Latino.  Then there were creaks and clicks from the ceiling. Leo got up and left. This left everyone in silence. 

"What the heck?" Percy asked. Annabeth punched him.

"What? I was just describing what happened." He said defensively.

"I mean he's not wrong. Leo just gave us some pretty heavy info. Then left." Jason said.

"Yes, but he gave us some information about his life that we had never known about him," Hazel said. She thought about Sammy, and if had these thoughts like his grandson. She had always thought that Leo had a good life, he was always joking and smiling. She had never thought that at all those smiles and laughs had been fake. She must have been sitting there in deep contemplation because Annabeth turns towards her.

"Hazel, what are you thinking about?"

"Just thinking how none of us noticed how much Leo masked his emotions and face. Or how he never acted like anything was wrong. Even when we asked him."

Piper hadn't spoken the whole time. She looked up with a determined look in her eyes.

"We are going to get our Leo back."
