A soft breeze blew through the tree and flowers scattering the leaves and petals down towards the lake below. An oak tree grows on top of a hill of flowers overlooking the lake that shimmered under the light of the slowly setting sun.

Ranboo leaned on the oak tree as he flipped through the pages of the novel occasionally looking at his husband who was playing with the flowers that grew near the tree. Tubbo's line of sight focused on a small cherry-colored bug with black spots. The bug walked from one flower petal to another, occasionally it would stop but soon it would move again. Plucking a flower and letting the ladybug crawl on the blossom, he released a huff and stood up.

He looked towards the black and white fellow who was leaning on the big oak tree, his hands held the book he had been reading since early morning. Walking through the flowers while carefully balancing the ladybug, Tubbo sat beside his husband. Ranboo was still focused on the book he was reading and failed to notice Tubbo's gaze towards him.
A flower was placed near the book and a small bug crawled from the petal onto the paper, its red and black spotted body walked around and covered the text. Ranboo's concentration was broken by the ladybug who decided to stop in the middle of the page. Tubbo and Ranboo looked at the little bug with interest before the bug flew away. "What book have you been so focused on?" Tubbo asked, looking at the page of text in front of him. "It's a mystery book about flowers, it's very interesting." Ranboo briefly explained as he pointed at the few illustrations in the book. Tubbo chuckled before leaning back on the trunk of the tree.

"Read it to me..?"

"Gladly.."

Ranboo cleared his throat before continuing on the chapter he stopped, Tubbo not minding missing the earlier chapters of the novel. As his tall husband's soothing voice tells him a story, he looks towards the scenery before them. A nice lake where ducks can be seen floating about near the shore, ducklings following their parents as they go through the reeds. The setting sun on the horizon gave off a warm glow as the cool breeze made the flowers sway.

Tubbo can't help but close his eyes, a sense of security surrounded him as he slowly let the fatigue he had been harboring let loose. His eyes slowly grew heavy and closed, allowing himself to rest. A soft snore can be faintly heard from the man. Ranboo continued reading aloud before he felt a weight on his shoulder. Glancing to his side, he saw Tubbo sleeping peacefully.

Placing the book down and fixing his posture, he carefully placed Tubbo's head on his lap before fixing his husband's fluffy hair. It was curly and soft to touch, enough for Ranboo to be entertained. Touching the horns that grew on his husband's head, Tubbo swatted his hands away and grumbled. Ranboo laughed before retreating his hands away from the horns. 'Cute' Ranboo thought as he admired the sleeping fellow on his lap. He can't help but lean in and place a kiss on his husband's forehead.
