Great Expectations

Great expectations,

Clouding my judgement and thoughts,

I need a way out,

they have weighed me down,

for far too long I've been crushed,

I want to tell them,

I need to tell them,

I cant live up to their needs,

I cant let them down,

want to go live up,

to what they expect of me,

I don't have the strength,

it is all my fault,

if I had done a bit more,

I could make them proud,

I hope they're happy,

with the failure I am,

if I keep pushing,

will I one day live,

with the knowledge they are proud,

do I have it wrong,

are they proud right now,

I will never know their thoughts,

because I don't speak,
