Valerie Hopper was a girl of high expectations — none that she held herself to, of course. At seventeen, she considered herself more traumatised than most her age, she'd lost people, important people, irreplaceable people, and she'd fought monsters, or aliens, or whatever the hell the scientists of Hawkins had conjured up in that lab.
Point being, the world owed her. Big time.
Neon spandex that she'd rather die before wearing, poorly sequenced jazz-synth film scores and wildly inappropriate use of blue eye-shadow were nothing short of what Valerie Hopper envisioned for the year to come, and she cursed above to whichever almighty god held the power over her life that they were going to give her a damn good summer break,
or so help her.
