"Wake up dear it's time to smell the roses!"
That's my alarm. Rather, that's my mom.
I belch out a moan, and sneak deeper into the covers, just so she can't see my smile. Yes I depend on my mom to wake me up. Sue me. "Come on dear," she coos, lightly shaking me, "You have school." I mumble something inaudible, but when I am given a tickle as a response, I lift myself up. I check the calendar. Wednesday.
I stumble to the bathroom. I brush my teeth, do the usuals. I take a peak at myself. Satisfied with what I see, I rush down the stairs and have my usual, sunny-side up egg with bacon and a slice of toast.
As I munch on the toast, I ask my dad what's new with the world. He laughs, huffs, and replies with "nothing that you should know." Me, being one who is easily satisfied, laugh, kiss him goodbye, grab my book bag, and head out the door. I ruffle my kid brother's hair and walk to the bus stop.
Once the bus arrives, I sit at the seat two rows behind the driver on the left side by the window. In exactly two minutes my friend Mindy sits down beside me. We immediately talk about the newest bands.
When we arrive to school, the day usually goes by fast. Science, English, Reading, Recess, Lunch, Social Studies, Music, and Gym.
As we ride back home, Mindy and I laugh and joke about Jerry Springer, the boy who is the absolute nerd in our class! When I head inside my house, I yell at my brother who put whip cream into the pocket of my favorite jacket. I sit down, do homework, eat dinner at precisely 6:45 , get ready for bed at 8:30, go to sleep at 9.
Just when my mom shuts the door to my bedroom, she asks,
"Great day, Wednesday?"
To which I reply,
"Cant wait, Thursday."
