If and Only If

47 days before

I quickly adjust. We all quickly adjust.

Whenever something strange happens, like

how Theodore moves in, we quickly turn to

greater and much more important things, like

completing a essay that's due at eight sharp

tomorrow morning......

I stop. Ugh this is hopeless. I delete all that I wrote just now on the computer. I always do that, write my ideas on paper, or on the computer. Like now. Except what I wrote is lies,all lies. Well, not all. My family and friends adjusted almost on the same day.

I on the another hand....

School has become uncomfortable for me. We don't change classes, we stay in one homeroom. That's because they are recreating the hallways beside the lockers, so basically we are in elementary school again, with those hollow desks to put our stuff in. it's been that way since forever, but we are ok with it all.

But that's not my problem.
My problem is that I have a problem.

My problem that I have a problem is all thanks to Theodore.

He's so quiet, you don't know he is there until someone acknowledges his presence.
He rarely speaks, only when the teacher asks him to answer. Even THAT is rare. I think the teacher feels it too.

We just don't get neighbors. No one comes, no one goes. Yet here he is.

Now the normal thing is too ignore and get back on track. Hell, that's what everyone does.

But he doesn't stop looking at me.

I feel it, like a tingling sensation on my spine, slowly crawling up toward my neck. I don't turn not ever, for fear of getting caught. I pay attention,though, to where he sits. And I know he stares. At me.

So that's why school is uncomfortable. And even when he isn't staring, he's looking at his surroundings, like as if he wants to make sure it's all real. Which is weird.

I don't like weird.

And, again, it's not a lust of a stare. it's a what a weirdo stare. Actually I don't know anymore, I just want it to be over.

Then,

He did something no one tried to do.

He got into trouble
