sitting on the Quinjet was awkward mainly because you and kate had recently discovered you had feelings for each other well you know she had a crush on you just by the way she acted you weren't too sure if she knew about yours but then again you weren't hiding it "so how you feeling your first mission as part of the avengers" "scared I guess" "don't be im here if anything goes wrong" you say walking over to the other side of the Quinjet and crouching down in front of her cupping her hands in yours "okay..?" she nods.

walking up to the dingy building shadows etched in every corner. the main goal was to find anything that seemed odd or if there was anyone in the building that was likely hydra as this was an abandoned hydra facility, letting out a sigh kate turns to you "are you sure this is the right place?" holding her bow to her hip "im sure" you say holding a metal gear bow staff "what even does that even do" "it does things" "and what are these things?" "kate darling we are kind of busy right now" turning a corner coming face to face with a hydra soldier hitting him in the face with the staff they hit the wall with a thump "Shit that was hot- I mean cool" "mhm well, there's defiantly hydra here" "how do you know its hydra?" not saying anything you point at the bright red logo on the amour the soldier was wearing "oh" "im going downstairs you stay behind me".
Making your way down the stairs with kate behind you eventually made it downstairs with silence and no hydra was definitely wired usually they would be everywhere but no it was completely silent too silent.
Opening the door to a hallway on the ground floor it all started to make sense there was science equipment everywhere a table filled with files the lights all of a sudden turned off making the whole building pitch black until they turn back on and you and kate stare at the now four soldiers with a scientist standing behind them "well shit" was all you could say before they opened fire on the two of you pushing yourself in front of kate pushing yourself and her threw the doorway where you had not long come in from hitting the floor with a grunt getting up as fast as possible and pulling kate behind the wall and swiping some of her arrows and putting them in the quiver on your back pushing your arm forward a bit and repositioning your hands the staff folds out into a bow "you have a special bow?!" kate speaks up from next to you sending her a quick nod the shooting stops giving you a chance to get ready going in shooting three of the solders in one go landing perfectly embedded in them two left standing the sodier and the doctor as you slide behind a desk for cover as they both start shooting again it wasn't until you leand a bit hard on your right leg you realised you had been shoot.
Kate had peaked from the doorway shooting an arrow at the remaining soldier the scientist was left standing "are we going to talk or will you shoot us?" Kate says before standing out from the doorway a ringing in her ears shocked her she closed her eyes waiting for something to happen and was shocked to see a doctor with an arrow in his head and you standing in front of her "first rule they won't negotiate willingly at least" you say your words slightly drunkenly "are you ok?" kate says looking over you for wounds spitting your hand covering your stomach and a bleeding bullet wound in your leg "y-your hurt we need to get back to the compound now" "not now" you reply bluntly limping over to one of the computers inserting the USB which downloads all the information needed kate walks over as you pull out the USB putting a hand on your shoulder "let me help you..please" kate looks guilty you got hurt because of her and is currently bleeding out "ok love...ok" kate blushes at the nickname putting your arm over her shoulder.
when you had eventually got out of the building you stopped making kate look at you as if to say what was wrong "you got any dangerous arrows?" "um, yea this one like explodes it pretty cool-" taking to from her grasp and grabbing your bow shooting the arrow into the building "ok we can go now" kate sends a nod when you had finally got to the Quinjet laying down on one of the chairs "Friday take us back to base" "of course Miss Bishop" the engine started purring as it got ready to take off. kate makes her way over to you "hey can you stay with me?" "I need the first aid kit first love" blushing she goes to get the first aid kit bringing it over to you which makes you rise from your laying position to sitting up taking off the vest and your top half of the suit left in a sports bara kate opens the kit grabbing the disinfectant putting it on a cotton pad she then kneels down so she can look at your stomach wound "this is going to hurt" "im just lucky it went threw and the bullet's not wedged inside of me can't say the same for my leg though" you see her frown at your words as she leans to press the cotton pad it touches your stomach with a stinging sensation when she leans away to add more disinfectant for your leg and back you grab her chin holding it carefully not to hurt her "hey it wasn't your fault I decided to jump in front of you" "yea but you did it twice now your hurt because I wasn't taking the mission seriously" "Katherine Elizabeth Bishop for the last time its not your fault we al make mistakes" "your an idiot for taking two bullets for me" "only for you" you both lean in the kiss was soft but passionate a smile was on kates face when you both separated.
