A RESOUNDING NOISE REVERBERATED THROUGH THE LAND of eternity, a threatening or startling utterance could be used to describe the booming noise. but no one seemed to show any reaction, seemingly accustomed to this circumstance, which was weird by itself to foreigners like [name].

wincing once again as another sound of thunder resonated, they quickened their pace. fear was pitted in their stomach and the sound of occasional strikes of lighting did not help, especially since they were in the open.

"if only some miracle could happen and stop this..." they said. from the distance, a small shed with no one appeared in their line of sight, which seemed as though the 'archons' had answered their prayers. 'finally!' elatedly [name] thought. hastening their pace toward the shed and struggling to navigate through the heavy downpour, another bolt of lightning struck beside them, with mere inches saving [name] from the hands of death.

'shit!' [name] thought alarmingly, this caused them to accelerate their speed and eventually, they reached the shed. relief washed over the [eye colour] individual, they were racing with death itself but if they wasted any more seconds, the winner would have not been them. fatigue was now starting to catch up to them. 'surely rest wouldn't be too bad... ' they reassured themselves. with that, they carefully rested their body on the concrete floor and drifted into sleep.

raiden shogun

raiden shogun. the ruler of the Inazuma Shogunate. she's a firm believer in what she believes is eternity. even so, a leader has their flaws as seen in this situation. "creating a puppet to rule in your stead seems too much ei." a muted pink-haired kitsune spoke.

"it's not too much yae, it's simply-" the woman dubbed as yae interrupted quickly. "it's simply nothing ei, you're just over-complicating things. think about it is all I'm asking you, a decision such as that deserves more thought." with that, yae walked away.

'deserves more thought? my decisions always impact anything positively, ' the purple-haired ruler thought. 'did she just say that to bother my peace of mind?' thought after thought garnered yet ei could not find a substantial judgement that could back up her claim. 'I made my final decision, I will do what I have to do, even if relationships may be broken, ' the fate of Inazuma was sealed, without any further delay.

ei was known for her unfeigned nature. she was blunt and firm, affecting the way she carried herself also. so it would not be a surprise to any if she had finally concluded her land's destiny, not to those who may have known her.

"ei, for the love of morax, why are you doing this?" [name] grumbled under their breath

"ei, for the love of morax, why are you doing this?" [name] grumbled under their breath. they had been walking in the rain for about an hour now yet no sight of the infamous municipality, it was as if they were going back to a place that did not exist. and mind you they were tired even after resting, lethargy continued to pump in their veins.

coming to a stop, they looked around, drenched with water and their eyes bloodshot. "fucking hell, I might die here," they spoke aloud in a jittery tone. hands snaked around their frame, desperate to trap a feeling of warmth, it was apparent that death was inching closer but without an escape this time.

"I should have just stayed in the shed!" they exclaimed. "I shouldn't have even come here in the first place," the [hair coloured/bald] messenger spoke, their voice not above a whisper.

hypothermia was then triggered due to the immersion in the cold weather, making [name]'s breath hitch before toppling over and dying.

what? not satisfied? of course, the story didn't just end like that! accompanied by the poor delivery of plot, writing, and abruptness, this is nothing but just a tale. the real story begins. just not in this chapter.
