"Truth or dare, Madeline." he asserted, his voice nearly a shout over the loud music blasting. She didn't want to be here at first; parties were never really her thing, but alcohol was. Watching her best friend flirt with every guy in a 10 metre radius wasn't really her forte. She laid back, head resting on the back of the sofa with a cup of god knows what in her hand.

"Dare." Madeline said. Her best friend looking around to see whos going to offer up a dare. Isla took a sip of the drink, swallowing it down no matter the protests her body gave her. Finally a man spoke up.

"I dare you to make out with Jay." he said, laughter and curiosity laced in his voice. Immediately Madeline got up and walked her way over to Jay, slowly sitting on his lap facing him. Her legs wrapped around his torso and quickly, their lips met, moving in sync with one another's'.

Madeline's face lifted away from Jays and she stood back up, making her way back to her chair. Isla had her suspicions about her. Sure they were best friends, but over the last few months or so, Madeline's attitude towards her changed. When she spoke, the tone in her voice was strained, as if she were hiding something.

Isla's want for more alcohol  spiked and she scooted forward on the sofa to get more. Suddenly, a mans voice, the same one from before, shouted over to her, his interest peaking. "Surely it's your turn sweetheart?" he said, with her cringing at the pet name.

"Yeah go on Madeline you give her one" another said from across the table. At this point now all eyes were on her, watching her every move.

Isla took the weight off of her feet and slumped back onto the sofa where she was sat before her plans were interrupted.

"Truth or dare Isla?" Madeline questioned, ever so slightly slurred from the heavy drinking committed earlier. Taking a sip of her own, Isla only looked up from the bottom of her cup, not moving her body an inch.

"Truth." she stated simply. "Because the only thing you've been telling me are lies."
