'Hey'
She texts,
'Hey'
I respond,
Her simple blue bubble lighting the room
and the fire in my heart
'Did you need help studying for the test again?'
I look over at my notes,
More doodles than numbers
And then at my desk,
Where hidden papers hide,
High scores and scribbled 'a's
Hidden beneath half-done homework
(no)
'Yeah'
'Want me to come over?'
(more than anything)
'I guess'
'cool, see you soon!'
(not soon enough)
