If you are a true devotee of Hindi serials, you should not proceed with this book because you might feel offended w...
After reading this random book, you might have noticed that I know all serials in ZTV. So Meet is a one of the serial in ZTV which is just absurd as any other serial, just in a tiny bit of uniqueness.

The only uniqueness is that, the protagonist girl is a tomboy. Or shall I call, used to be a tomboy and now only tomboy style left in her is her hairstyle. Now she is always dressed in the typical saree, kurta or whatever she wears. Her name is Meet and for some reason, they had to make the guy's name Meet too. *Face palm*
Well, this isn't the main part I wanted to point out. Do you want to know what caused her tomboy style? Well, it was shown there was reason behind her tomboy style, and it wasn't actually because she was experimenting with styles and found that was suitable for her, no not at all.
So little back story first - her father used to work in police who was martyred on duty. Even though she was second daughter of the house, she felt that the entire house was now her responsibility. And in this flashback, she is 16 years old in school uniform, with long hair. So after his death she chops off her hair to show her that she is a dutiful son of the house now.
I literally cringed so bad watching all this part. She is a literally typical one with all the boyish attribute such as playing in dirt, knowing how to work around with electricity, does some part time job, and doesn't know shit about fashion, makeup or anything that's considered girlish. And the serial decided it needed a justification. So they basically giving excuse for a girl to be a tomboy.
I am just lost with words. Even though serial is just another stereotypical - girl trying to fit in to the in-laws place or dealing something or the other with in-laws, at least there's something that's never seen before with a girl with tomboy style. But that all went to waste when she just decided to turn her clothing style according to their in-laws wish rather than fighting to keep her style. And now that wasn't just enough, they had to give a reason for a girl to be tomboy because girls to have guy's dressing sense needs a justification.
Please note the sarcasm.
Like seriously, for the first time they brought little something that was new and they managed to ruin that one unique characteristic. And the justification for woman being tomboy was not the only cringe I had today from this serial.
So the scene goes like this: the guy (also Meet) is upset about something which I didn't see. He is so upset about something and he cant get over it. Looking at this, the girl tells him this story of her history and how she changed her appearance to take care of the house because apparently, someone girlish cannot take responsibility. And you know why she tells all this to him?
Make a guess.
Well, just to end her story by saying "if a 16 years old Meet (referring to herself) could handle all that, why cant you?" I was like SHUT THE FUCK UPPPPP!!!!!
She just compares her tragedies because he is upset about something and I just take something like this personally and it irks me a lot! I just hate it when something of this sort happens.
"My dad died when I was 16 and I got ready to take all the responsibility on my head, then why cant you just get over that damn thing? Is it something really that big as my father's death?" Her dialogue was literally something similar to this.
It is like someone getting upset because they just hit their toe on the corner of the table and feeling pain, someone with amputated leg comes to him and says "well look at me, my legs are amputated, your pain is nothing compared to mine!"
It just doesn't make sense! Pain and suffering is not a competition. You cannot make anyone feel better or make their suffering go by telling them about other's suffering and invalidating their suffering. If you're one of them who does this, I am gonna stay far far away from you.
Just never do this.
And serials will just make these kind of bullshit come out of protagonist and make this thing to be normal. I just have no words, these dumbasses just always manage to get on my nerves I felt like pulling my hairs out at this point! Ugh!
And let me do a Bhawishyavani (future prediction) here for this serial: I am 1000% sure this Meet (the girl) will somehow turn girlish and grow her hair in the future and there will be nothing tomboyish left in her at the end of the serial. She is already becoming comfortable with wearing girlish clothes which she was apparently uncomfortable in.
Actually not only that, she used to be sporty and used to play sports and all and perfectly fine with physical pain when she falls and anything happens when she gets hurt her in game. But now that her tomboyish characteristic is being washed over with only acceptable character for a girl - to be more girly - is creeping on to her.
Just few episodes ago, she was walking and just randomly twists her ankle and Meet (the guy) has to carry her around. Strange, huh?
And as this serial is turning a girl with more masculine character into feminine, are they trying to tell that girls always cry over little pain and cannot endure any little discomfort caused by any minor physical pain?
Well fuck you, we go through period pain every month like a fucking warrior. Twisting a leg just a little (like how they show in serial) doesn't make us rely on a damn guy to carry us in their arms, you empty headed twit!
Okay, so for that Bhawishyavani, if my prediction is wrong at the end of this serial, I will do something as a dare and currently I am not able to think of something to do over Wattpad. If you have any good idea for dare that I could do over Wattpad, please comment. I hope it wont come to the point that I'd have to do the dare, but well, lets see how it turns out.
Well, thanks for reading!
Until I see you!
UPDATE(2024-09-07): I had been getting lots of comments on this book lately that I had abandoned couple of years back, I'm very grateful for that. It's really fun to read them.
Now I think you've already guessed what this updated bit is about.

That's right! I won the bet! I don't know any story anymore so for all we know, this could be Meet's daughter, grand daughter or anything along the line. But I guessed it right! She totally had long hair after all.
Get that you DUMBASS!
No, not you dear readers, the serial writers of course.
