𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙰𝚙𝚘𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚢𝚙𝚜𝚎

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟒- ᴅᴇᴀᴅʟʏ ꜱᴘʀɪɴɢꜱ

As we walk on the highway I see a near by town. It could be worth checking out, I now that I think about it we are going through that town anyway. I tried to see if phones work and they do a little. I should put some music on so we don't go crazy from walking in silence.

"Hey what song should I put on?"

"How about 'Rosemary' by Deftones?" Asked Neko

"Let me see if I can find it"

After I put the song on we walked towards that town. There is a sign that pointing to the town, it says: 𝙾𝚌𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚂𝚙𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜, 𝚙𝚘𝚙𝚞𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚘𝚏 𝟷𝟽,𝟺𝟺𝟸. Lets hope that most of the zombies here are gone. It is also starting to get cloudy, great, now it might rain. I would be pissed if it rained while we are walking. The highway is full of cars but there is not a single zombie here. Where could have they gone? 

"This don't feel right" Said Tommy

"What do you mean? There are only cars here" Said Jack

"That's what's wrong, there only cars. Where hell are the zombies?" Asked Tommy

When he said that a bunch of zombies came from under the cars. So many that we can't handle. We ran off the highway and into the town, more and more zombies came as well. The closer we got to the town the more zombies appeared. I hear gun shots coming from a building in the distance, one of them nearly hit me! Don't they see that they are bring out more zombies!? Wait a minute, I still have a grenade launcher! I aimed it at the zombies and it shot nothing. Fuck! I have no more ammo for it! I see a person waving at us to go into a store.

"Get in quick!" Said the person

We got in and the person tried to close the door. Jake went to help them and a zombie got in. It bit him on the arm! Shit man, I don't want him turning into a zombie! I shot the zombie and Jake with the person closed the door and blocked it with a shelf. Jake hid his bite mark for now. The person ran to the top of the building and we followed them.

"What the hell were yall thinking when yall ran through here!?" Asked the person

"We were just walking through here then they came out and came after us. We are only trying to get to New Orleans nothing more than that"

"Yall were going to New Orleans? What for?" Asked the person

"The Army are evacuating everyone from there. They will take us to the Caribbean, where we will be safe from the zombies" Said Neko 

"The Army are there? Huh. That sounds like it could be a safer place than it is here. Only problem is that we can't use any cars to get there. All roads are blocked off and the car would just alert more of the undead" Said the person

"That's why we were walking there" Said Neko

"Walking is just gonna get ya killed. I think there is a news helicopter in downtown. If we can get to it I could fly us to New Orleans" Said the person 

"That sounds like an good idea, whatever your name is"

"Name's Daryl. I was the helicopter tour guide of this town, that was until the dead started coming back from the grave.  I think this was some type of experiment by the government gone wrong. The day before this all started, a bunch of military helicopters were passing by the town dumping some type of grey gas. That is why it was so cloudy yesterday, it had to be that gas" Said Daryl

"But wouldn't everyone be a zombie?"

"No, that gas was dumped by the cemetery. I think when the dead started walking and killing people that a virus was made from the chemicals and the Flu. That's why only some people got sick first" Said Daryl
