chapter 2

I could not get her out of my head. I don't know what it is maybe her eyes? Her hair? Her personality? I don't know all I know was after lunch I was thinking about her nonstop. I had just gotten back to my apartment. It wasn't much but I liked it, I made my way to my room and  I changed into a baggy shirt and some shorts.

I sat on the couch and turned on the tv to try and get my mind off of Sarah. Minutes felt like hours it was crazy. Everything I did my mind went to Sarah. I decided to text her

Avery: Hey Sarah! It's Avery
Sarah: Hello Avery! Glad you texted me.
Avery: haha, also sorry again about Mrs. Kelly earlier today.
Sarah: Avery please don't be sorry it's ok really. I know a nice dinner place if you would like to go with me?
Avery: yea that would be nice ill see you around 6?
Sarah: sounds like a plan see you there!

I decided to put on back pants that feathered out at the bottom a white simmi cropped tank with a mesh white long sleeve blouse on top. I decided to keep my hair straight. Sarah sent me the address and I got in my car and made my way there.

It was about 30 minutes from my apartment and I got there at exactly 6. I walked in and saw Sarah in a corner of the restaurant in a nice-looking booth so I made my way over there.

"Hello," I said as I sat down across from her.

"Hello you look very pretty," she said giving me a warm smile

"I could say the same about you," I told her. She was wearing a black knee-length dress the sleeves lacy with flowers. (like the one above)

"I remember you mentioning you like to read right?" she asked me

"Oh yes I love to read," I told her

"What's your favorite book?" she asked me

"I'm a good fan of the lake by Natasha Preston, in a sucker for a mystery," I told her

"I love that book," she said

"When they found the dolls in the lake with their eyes crossed out I started freaking out," I said and started laughing.

"Or when they found the dead deer in the main hall," she said

"That was so gross I have no idea why Lillian would do that," I said

"Hello my name is Ashley and I will be your server today what can I get you to drink?"

"May I get a glass of wine and water please?" Sarah asked

"Of course and for you mam?" she asked me

"Oh just a glass of water please with a lemon"

"Alright ill be right back with that," she said and left the table.

A few minutes later she came back with our drink

"Would you like a starter?" she asked us

"Avery do u like calamari?" Sarah asked me

"Yes I love it," I said

"Ok um we will have ere calamari, please," Sarah said to our waitress

"Coming right up," she said and left the table again

"So Sarah what are your favorite tv shows?"

"Well I like Peaky blinders"( had to add Helen in some way:)) she said

"No way Peaky Blinders is one of my favorites" we had so much in common it was crazy.

"Who is ur favorite character?" she asked me

"Well obviously Polly Gray she is the best," I said

"Oh my fucking God poll is the best, I also like Lizzy and Ada," she said

"I love them too, I can't wait for season six to come out on Netflix they did us badly with the season five ending" I complained taking a sip of my water

"Yes I was so mad they left us like that," she told me.

"I know you already asked me but why did you want to start teaching?" Sarah asked me

"Well uh I wanted to be someone everyone liked and I thought teaching might help with that," I told her

"What do you mean?" she asked me

"Well growing up and even today a lot of people didn't like me, for a reason I don't know," I told her

"I'm sorry if they were to get to know you they would release how much of an amazing person you are," she told me grabbing my hand.

"Thank you, Sarah that means a lot," I told her. She squeezed my hand and sparks went flying. We stayed silent for a little

"Oh look here comes the calamari," I said breaking the silence.

the waitress brought us our calamari and told us she would be back soon to take our orders.

"the chicken Parm looks good," Sarah said

"Yes it does look good," I told her

When the waitress came back Sarah and I both ordered the chicken parm, and Sarah got a refill on her wine.

Sitting across from her I couldn't help but get lost in her honey brown eyes. They were so warm and comforting. Needless to say, her eyes were beautiful.

"Um, Avery?" Sarah said snapping me out of my trans

"Oh yes what did you say sorry," I said blushing

"Well uh our food is here," she said. 'Damn I was starting that long fuck' I thought to myself

"Oh yes," I said and grabbed my fork, and began to eat. It was really good. The waitress came back with the check.

"How are we paying today?" she asked

"Once check please"

"Two checks please"

We spoke at the same time.

"Sarah no I can pay for myself it's ok really," I told her

"No Avery I insist I invited you out please let me pay," she said and looked at the waitress

"One check please," Sarah said and the waitress walked away.
