AUTHOR'S POV

The wind was howling towards the south with the sun high above the cloud with approximately 75degree temperature (yeah you got it it's pretty hot). Students were running and playing within the school premises, some were eating, some were in group chats with their friends meaning the students were on their break time.

There stood a beautiful young lady dressed in her uniform holding some books in her hands while coming out from the staff room. She is tall and fair in complexion , with a round face and beautiful oily eyes, her plump cheek soft as a baby hand with her cute red lips .

MINAL POV

"Urgh I hate going to the teacher's staff room and worst of all the teachers there are annoying. Urgh these books are heavy , why didn't she called the class captain but no she decided to ruin my lunch break" here I was busy whining to myself and I didn't know the time I bumped into someone

"Hey watch out" I yelled without sparing  a glance at the person
"Hey cupcake whats with the grumpy attitude" he raised his one eyebrow while I scrunch at him
"I'm in a very bad mood Abdul don't irritate me" I glared at him

"Whoa easy there young woman, is it mrs chioma again" he asked
"You guessed it right" I scoff while arranging back the books
"What's wrong with that lady she has been making you suffer every since she met mama" he said collecting the pile of books from my hands

"Yeah wallah she is annoying , everything minal you don't like to study see your mom is a great person blah blah blah" I imitate her as he laughed

"Oops she is behind you" he whispered and my face drained in fear . I gulped and turned but there was no one
"ABDULLLLLLL I WILL KILL YOUUUUUU" I yelled as i ran behind my stupid bestie.

You guys must be wondering  what's going on,  so I would tell you everything.
My name is Minal hamza , I'm 16yrs and I'm in SSS 1 schooling here in Dominican College kaduna state . It's a private secondary school located at kinkino road . The stupid moron who pranked me is none other than my one and only best friend Abdulhakeem Aliyu . Aka AA the popular guy in my schools. Girls drool over him and he thinks he is handsome (Yeah he is pretty handsome🙈) but the point is he is such a player but still girls are after him like crazzzzy and I don't like that

You guys must be thinking why , yeah I've been crushing on him since childhood we did thesame primary school as we were neighbours and now we both are in secondary school. He is a bit older than me ( 2yrs gap no big deal🙄) he is in SSS3 so he would be graduating any time soon and I would miss him a lot. I didn't have a slightest idea that , that childhood crush thing would turn to LOVE 💕 and now I'm deeply in love with him but I just can't bring myself to confront him 🥺😔

BACK TO STORY

"You know you are very lazy wallah Abeg see this small run you did and you are panting as if you wan faint" he spoke in pidgin
"Abeg no disturb me it's all your fault why would you scared me like that wallah I thought she was really behind me" I hissed

"Come let's go and have lunch before the break would be over" he said while he dragged my hand to the cafeteria.

"Assalamu alaikum mama (peace be upon you mama) " we greeted in unison
"Wa alaikum mussalam yara na (peace be upon you also my children) " she answered
"Mama kinyi abun (have you prepared it mama?)" he asked
"Eh gashi nan da zafin shi (yes and it's pretty hot)" she answered
"Mungode mama (Thank you)" he answered as he gave her the money before we proceed to one of the tables.

Mama has been in this school for as long as I can remember she makes the tastiest food and everyone here loved it a lot .

"Wow I'm so hungry Wallahi" I uttered my mouth watering form the scent of the food
"Umm chop chop you are always hungry Ai" he glared
"Whatever I don't have time for you let's dig in" I said and without waiting for him I dipped  into the plate of fried rice with some chicken .
