Dust to dust

From dust we arisen
And to dust we shall fall
We preach about acceptance
But practice only hate
The truth is we care not of each other
For the human race is too selfish for that
We care not of the environment
For only destruction we bring
No
We only care about we
The norms our society shove onto us
"No!
Don't you dare discriminate
But but only allow the white to succeed
Accept all people
But not the ones who are different"
We make speeches and parades
Declare wars and hurt
We stand up for what's right
But let the evil slip through the cracks
From dust we came and to dust we return
Our society will rise and fall
But we treat it like it's forever
We complain and make excuses
"No I'm not that bad
Most people are fine so all of us are fine
I'm a good person
Most people are good"
While the teenager you past on the street
Cries themself to sleep because no one will listen
While that eight year old smiles
Even though his parents don't want him
While that girl tried to kill herself
Because no one bothered to help
From dust there is us and from us there is dust
Where will it end
The pain
The hurt
The lying
The killing
The stealing
The living
When we suffocate ourselves with smog as thick as mud
When we hurt the children so much they don't have children
When we bite Mother Nature too much she bites back
When family gets slaughtered by the broken, Will we do something then
Will do anything as our grandchildren fight a war they didn't start
If there is a god out there may he have mercy on us and wipe us out
Shall we laugh shall we cry
Shall we sing shall we scream
From the dust that slips through the cracks
We are made
And when we eventually kill us
To dust we shall become again

This one was basically a rant that was spurred from one of my friends poems on this topic. I think it's pretty good.
