On the highest shelf

Way up high
On the highest shelf
Is something I store
Where no one can find it
Behind a picture it lays
Untouched by the human eye
And when I am sad
I reach up
To my highest shelf
And I take it down
And open it up
And I'm transported away
To a new place everyday
Sometimes it's my future
Sometimes it's my past
Sometimes I see family
Sometimes I see friends
Occasionally I see misery
Commonly I see therapy
And when I'm done
Up to the highest shelf I reach
To a land unseen by eyes
And I lay down something precious
And I tuck it in for bed
For when tomorrow comes
I will pick up my journal once again

This one was based on a prompt my friend gave me. It was something can't reach but it has to be physical. I immediately thought of where I used to keep my old journal because it was such a hassle to try and get down.
