Elisa's P.O.V
It's been almost a week since Goliath and the others moved to the clock tower. I had recovered completely from the gunshot and was making my way towards Rose's café.
Sadly, I wasn't alone.
Looking to the side, I listened as my new partner, detective Matt Bluestone, talks about the Illuminati. How they were the ones that actually ran everything. How they hid and were in charge and behind most, if not all the conspiracy theories out there.
"Look, Matt, you need to know something about me. I don't care about UFO's, Loch Ness or secret societies. Believe me, the world's strange enough as it is." I say and park in front of the Marauder's Den. "I'm getting something to eat, you're welcome to join," she says before walking in.
"Sure! I heard some of the guys saying this place is the real deal."
"That's because it is. The owner is my neighbor, believe it or not." I say and walk in, not surprised in seeing the cafe a little busy. The place became quite popular. People wanting to taste genuine British and English dishes.
Though I am surprised with the number of young faces that are here. I look around and see Rose working the floor and smile.
I have to say, Rose won my trust and respect the night she stood up to against Macbeth and went after him, to help Lex, Brooklyn and Bronx. She didn't hesitate in doing so, didn't ask how she could help or what she could do. To top it all, she gave them privacy and space when it came to them moving to the clock tower. Even more so, she didn't ask me if where they were staying or if they've considered sending for her.
Rose has been giving them their space. And I feel that they may need her now.
Nodding at the idea, I walk to the counter and put in my order. Followed by Matt and then we sit to wait.
"I'm quite surprised by how busy it is at this time." Matt says, taking in the atmosphere of the locale.
"I am too. Usually, people are going to get a beer with their buddies. Oh! That's our orders. Do you mind grabbing mine and heading to the car? I need to talk to Rose for a moment."
"Sure thing, partner." Matt says and get the items and walks to the car.
Letting out a sigh, I turn and see Rose walking to the office, and I follow. "Hey, Rose."
"Elisa! Hi! How are you doing?"
"Much better now that I don't have to use those crutches."
"That's good to hear, but I doubt you searched for me to only let me know you were healed." Rose says and stops working on some papers and looks at me.
"You would be right. I came here, to ask if you would go visit Goliath and the others. They live in-"
I stop, due to the hand over my mouth and I notice Rose's calm and happy expression, changed to a more serious and alert one. She looks around and then closes the door and waves her hand. "Are you mad Elisa? Why would you risk mentioning them in an area that isn't safe or bloody secured?!"
"You're right. I'm sorry. I'm in a bit of a hurry because I was assigned a partner and he's waiting in my car, and we are on duty." I explain and watch as she remains silent, letting me know I can continue. "They now live in the clock tower, on top of the police station."
"The police station. That's ironic. Alright, once I close up here, I'll give them a visit...wait, do they know you came looking for me?"
"No, they don't. But right now, I believe they need your company. Someone that knows about them and can teach them more about this world...and maybe the one you come from."
