They hurried down the Institute steps and went right on the pavement.

"Clary? Clary, where are you going?" It was Jocelyn, Clary' s mum, and her husband Luke. Clary turned to Sasha and Izzy.

"Could you go ahead and make the portal?" They nodded, turned and walked away. Clary looked back at her mum.

"I'm really sorry mum. I have to go. You can ask Alec why. I will write and maybe visit." She hugged them both an  hurried after the others. Jocelyn and Luke were still standing motionless. Clary turned the corner and reached Izzy and Sasha. "Where to?"

"Somewhere with lots of sun, good food, and... hot boys!!" Said Izzy, frowning at the last one. "Might help me get over Simon." She muttered. "Florida!"

"My cousins best friend's sister lives there." Said Sasha.

"Ok, Florida it is. Hang on," Clary said and they both took one of hands.

Jocelyn came running  around the corner, "Clary, come back home! We can talk I  over. I promise you will never have to see him again!"

But it was too late, "Sorry, mum." She whispered before plunging into the swirling  blue liquid.

When they arrived on the other side in Florida, they were standing in an alley way. Feeling slightly dazed from the trip, they set off to find the Institute in Florida. After about five minutes of wandering around, they saw a girl with hip length, curly ginger-blonde hair. She was reasonably pale and had freckles. She was a shadow Hunter- She was wearing very similar clothes to Izzy, Clary, and Sasha and she had rune scars covering her arms. She looked bout the same age as the three girls. Sasha gasped. "That's my cousin's best friend's sister. Her name is Abby. We should go talk to her." The others nodded and they walked over to the girl. "Abby?" Asked Sasha.

Abby smiled, "Oh my God! Is it you, Sasha? What are you doing here? Where are your parents and... Alec?" She was obviously goin  to say 'brothers' until she remembered Max' s death.

"Ummm.... We're by ourselves. We were wondering if we could stay here for a while?"

"Of course! We will have so much fun. I thought you were in New York?" She realized, "It's this way," she pointed out. They started walking.

"Yeah, I was. That's were these two came from. Clary and Izzy, this is Abby." She introduced. "We aren't there anymore. There were... complications... Please don't tell my mum and dad? Swear on the angel?"

"I wouldn't! I swear on the angel Raziel that I will not help or assist in the search for you (if there is one) in any way. Why did you leave?" She wondered.

"Later. It's still a bit... painful... to talk about." Clary realised that she still didn't know exactly what happened between Simon and Izzy.... Abby nodded.

"Kay, we're here. You can stay for as long as you want. I'd love for you to live here?" She suggested  hopefully.

"Maybe... We kind of don't want to be found, and staying in the same place increases the chances of that, so..." Clary trailed off. Abby assured them that 'she could take care of that' and that 'no one would be able to trace them', as they walked through the doors to the Institute. Clary expected it to be exactly like the one in New York, but although the room sizes and shapes were identical, it was practically unrecognizable.

There were family photos on the walls and in picture frame  on the tables. Drawings, clearly done by small children, were scattered around the room and there were many vases full of flowers as well. It was a bit cluttered, with buckets and spades and fishing rods mixed in with swords, steles and other bits of shadow hunter gear. We took the lift up to the second floor and walked along the corridor. Abby gave us the keys to three different rooms, near to each other, but  not quite adjacent. We unpacked with the doors open, listening to Abby chattering on in the corridor.

"Ok, so I have 2 older brothers named Dan and Josh, they are 18 and 20, and 1 younger brother named Archie. He's 11. My parents are called Arthur and Nina. They aren't here at the moment but they should  get back in an hour or so." Clary glanced at the clock. 12:30. "You are probably quite hungry, so do you want some lunch and then you can have the grand tour?"

  "Ok, that sounds great!"
