Tidmouth is one of the busiest Stations in all of Sodor. Engines from the Main Line would come to and fro delivering passengers from this Station. But there was one problem. Since Duck had left to run the Great Western, the engines would have to fetch their own coaches. The 3 big engines did not like it one bit.

"Disgraceful!", said Gordon as backed down onto the Wild Nor' Wester. "Tender Engines like me does not shunt!"

"We're not starting this again, Gordon.", called Henry.

"I'm not trying to.", said Gordon. "I just don't think we should be treated like this."

"Huh!", scoffed Henry.

"Silence!", said a familiar voice.

It was Sir Charles Topham Hatt ll. He had just stepped out of his office to stop the noise.

"Oh", said Gordon. "Hullo, Sir."

"Hello, Gordon.", said the Fat Controller. "I have heard lately that you do not like shunting. And while I agree with my father that Tender Engines can shunt, I have decided to buy a new tank engine to help pilot here."

The engines were pleased.

Soon enough, a few days later, a tank engine arrived at Tidmouth. He was blue, had a square saddle tank, and had bucked teeth. He rolled into the yards very excited. Edward was there to teach him what to do.

"I'm Billy!", said the engine.

"Nice to meet you, Billy. I'm Edward", said Edward. "I'm here to teach you how to shunt trucks."

"Will do.", said Billy. "I can't wait to get started!"

"All right, all right, settle down.", chuckled Edward.

So, they got to work. Billy worked hard all day long shunting trucks and coaches for the big engines. Edward was impressed, so was the Fat Controller. Later, he spoke to Billy.

"Billy, I am very impressed by your work today.", said The Fat Controller. "As a reward, you can have a new coat of blue paint."

"Actually, Sir", said Billy. "I was wondering if I could be painted a different colour."

"Sure.", said the Fat Controller. "What colour would you like?"

"How about Orange?", asked Billy. "That's my favourite colour."

"Sure thing, Billy.", said the Fat Controller.

Soon, Billy came out of the works looking like a different engine. He still works hard in the yards to this day.
