“Let’s do something crazy.”

~[VICTORIA]~
Is it true you're Kevin Kanayo’s daughter?
Are you really dating Jude?
Are you and Jude really a thing?
Why did your father keep you a secret all along?
It was like they had planned it out; the hallway was full of classmates with their inquisitive eyes. Despite my effort to arrive extra early to avoid this, they still had me hooked. I could barely move, they were all in my face, asking me question after question.
Like someone turned them mute, they stopped, all at once. For a moment, I thought time froze or something. It became so damn quiet, save for the sound of my heavy breathing. Their eyes seemed to be fixed on one single point of concentration on something behind me.
Maybe it’s a teacher?
I turned. It was not a teacher.
Tracy was there, looking around slowly, her face stoic, void of emotion. But if you looked closely, you'd see the anger in her eyes, a kind of anger that no one dared to challenge.
“All of you should really mind your god-damned businesses.” Her voice came out with an unapologetic authoritative tone. “You all should know better than inquiring about someone’s personal life. If she’s not saying anything, then she simply doesn’t want you to know. You guys are not too dumb to know that, are you?” She paused, as if waiting for a counter. When none came, she went on, “This nonsense y'all just pulled better not happen again.”
She was done talking, because she was now pulling me towards the entrance of our class. The cluster of students that initially didn't give me space cleared the way in less than five seconds. And then, someone from the crowd asked,
“Who do you even think you are?”
Tracy chuckled, shaking her head. She did not even bother to turn back as she gave her response, “Just when I thought you were beginning to develop some sense, you do this.”
The sound of footsteps approaching us was heard and I felt a presence behind me. Whoever it was had gotten closer, the shadow looming at my right proved it.
“You can’t just give everyone orders, you're not all that, you know?” the person said. I didn’t need to look at her to know she was glaring at us; I could feel the burn at the back of my skull. “And you?” I was sure she was referring to me now. “You're going to be her puppet? Who would have thought? The Victoria Kanayo, as Tracy’s minion,” she tsked mockingly, “How degrading.”
“Oh, you buffoon.” Tracy huffed, tsked too. “I don’t give orders; I only teach sense. Were you guys really going to pressure her to speak? Now, that’s just dumb, isn’t it?” she sighed, tilted her head as she stared ahead. “And for the record, Esther, I don't gather useless minions like you. I actually have real friends."
Then we were headed to our class again. Not once did Tracy even turn to even grace the girl with a glance. Definitely, the moron at our backs was dumbstruck. Honestly, I would cry if someone said that to me.
