Sucrose felt like something is missing. She touched her neck and realized that her vision is missing. Albedo noticed that she is looking for her vision so he said the truth that Kaeya confiscated it and gave it to Master Jean. Since she is feeling fine now, Sucrose stood up as well as Albedo. She gathered all her strength and confidence before opening the door to see Master Jean in the room.
"You don't have to accompany me," said Sucrose before opening the door.
Therefore, Albedo waited outside but he can still hear them and Sucrose knows that so she has no intentions, to tell the truth about the real Albedo. Sucrose knocked a few times, then Jean let her in. Before she speaks, she let out a heavy sigh and tried her best not to stutter in front of Master Jean. She has never done this before because she always asks Albedo for a favor whenever she needs something to say to her but this time is a different situation.
"Sucrose, there's a report about you attempting to hurt Kaeya," started Jean before Sucrose speaks. "Also, about a lot of your missed scheduled commissions from Katheryne."
She didn't expect that Jean would ask these questions right now. Sucrose hasn't prepared about these. Her hands were trembling and sweating. She can't say a single word and she looks pale because of anxiety. Jean can't see how bothered Sucrose is because she is not paying attention to her and she is looking down at the papers on her table. As soon as a minute passed by without her uttering a word, Jean looked up to her.
"Sorry to barge in, Master Jean," interrupted Kaeya while catching his breath after opening the door. "Can Sucrose and I talk for a bit? It's something important."
Jean let him talk to Sucrose since she is still busy anyway. Kaeya held her wrist and they both went outside the Knights of Favonius headquarters. Before going out, Sucrose noticed that the other Albedo was not in front of Jean's office. They both ended up in a place where no one can hear them. Kaeya looked bothered while they were walking. He looked sideways first before starting to talk to her.
"Sucrose, you and I are the only ones who know about the real reason why Albedo is in the confinement room," he started. "They all don't know that there are two of them."
Since Kaeya is in front of her now, she was about to cut him off because she has something important to say too but Kaeya kept on talking. He has already said a lot but Sucrose can't comprehend everything he said. She can clearly hear him but she can't understand what he is saying. Sucrose was so stressed because of what happened earlier in the office. As soon as he has already said the conclusion, Sucrose suddenly understands him.
"The real Albedo is in the confinement room!" shouted Kaeya as he held her shoulders. "He took a quick sketch of me and guess what?"
He showed her the sketch that Albedo drew. It was just a simple drawing. She saw only three strokes of a pencil - one for the face, one for the eyepatch string, and one for the eyepatch. She looked at him with her eyebrows furrowed, thinking it was a joke. Kaeya explained that Albedo doesn't really draw him with details and he has never got a decent sketch from him. He also explained that Klee was also in the confinement room beside his room so they had a few conversations and Kaeya heard them.
"Now, I feel bad threatening him," said Kaeya. "Why did you say that the other Albedo was the real one? Did he do something to you? Are you hurt?"
Kaeya looked and inspected her. He saw bruises on her neck. 'Are those hickeys?' he thought to himself. Sucrose was supposed to hide it but it was too late. She said excuses that the reason why she had those is that she fell but Kaeya didn't believe it. Sucrose was supposed to walk away but Kaeya held her hand and asked what other things he did. Her cheeks were so red because of embarrassment so she kneeled down to him and pleaded.
"Please don't say this to anyone especially to Albedo," she pleaded while blocking her face, in the urge to cry because of embarrassment. "I promise I didn't like it."
She was mumbling a lot of words but Kaeya can't hear her clearly. He kneeled down and held both of her wrists. Kaeya emphasized and asked one more time about what other things he did but Sucrose kept on pleading not to tell about it to anyone. He told her to stand up a few times so he can help her hide it. They both ended in the Knights of Favonius clinic and Kaeya asks for some bandages.
"Where is he?" asked Sucrose after she calmed herself while looking at the mirror to put on the bandages. "He was waiting in front of Master Jean's office a while ago."
Since Kaeya realized it, he looked at her with concern and confusion in his eyes. Sucrose looked at him through the mirror and she stepped aside to see him from a different angle as soon as she felt something weird. She was right. The foe was right behind Kaeya, ready to kill him as the blue light shines from his hand. His reflexes were fast so he immediately took him down before he does something.
Sucrose can't think properly so she just let her body do without thinking because of the adrenaline rush. She broke the mirror using the tin can of the bandages and she took the largest piece of the broken mirror with her bare hands. She can't feel the sting but she can feel her blood dripping on her wrist. Sucrose looked back at them and saw Kaeya struggling since they changed places in a few seconds. She was about to stab him but he talked.
"Come to think of it, you haven't called me by my name, Sucrose," he said with a psychopath grin on his face.
"Because you're not him."
Before the sharp mirror touches his nape, he used his other hand to trap Sucrose on the wall with ice. Sucrose can't move because of the ice trapping her wrist. He has decided not to hurt Kaeya anymore so he also trapped him down on the ground.
"What a shame," he whispered as soon as he stood up. "Now, I have to threaten both of you."
He walked in Sucrose's direction. "Sucrose, you're hurt," he teased her as he broke the ice, held her hand, and licked the blood dripping on her hand up to the tip of her middle finger. She can't feel her right hand anymore and she can't move it. "You nearly killed me, Sucrose."
"Don't you fucking dare-" said Kaeya but he was cut off.
"I'm doing everything just so I can be the perfect version of him," he said as he tucked her hair on her ears. "You like him, right? You're probably wondering how I know," said Albedo then he chuckled. "
Sucrose was just gazing at him, trying not to show any fear.
"I've been reading your personal notes and alchemy notes every night," he whispered into her ears. "Yeah, I'm the reason why you're windows are always open just so I can admire you."
"You're a disgusting piece of-" she responded.
"You look like an angel while sleeping."
Albedo looked down to her neck and saw the bandages on it. He peeled it slowly. "Were you trying to hide the love I gave to you?"
Her cheeks became red so she looked down. She is so embarrassed since Kaeya has to hear about it. He held her chin to make her look into his eyes. "Wouldn't it be nice? I like you and you like me-"
"No, you don't," said Sucrose to cut him off. "You're just saying that so I can choose you to replace him, instead!"
"Shh... No shouting," he whispered as he put his finger on her lips.
She shook her head so she can talk. "I despise you!" she shouted. "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING-"
He shut her lips with his lips.
"I told you not to shout, didn't I?"
A/N: I don't know how to end this... I'll write the epilogue for the next chapter yet we're still in the climax part. Anyway, I hope y'all like it!
