Chapter 2 - Green

You've been in the Science Club for some time now, listening to the endless bullshit of some members started to annoy you horendelesly. You turned to your friend murmuring. "And you asked me to keep quiet."
You looked around. Watching the machine he's been making and occasionally helping him adjust some screws. Only you two knew what it was. An elaborate machine to turn bottle caps into gaseline. As you fidgeted with the screwdriver and Senku put another bulb into the top, Tajiu ran into the classroom.
"Senkuuu! Y/nn!!" he shouted. He seemed full of courage like usually. "I have decided! I'll tell Yuzuriha my feelings! Today!"
You smiled to him. "That's great Ta-"
"Took you long enough, big oaf." Senku interrupted you. He grabbed an erlenmeyer with a thick liquid inside. "Take this in case it won't work. It's a love potion. If you drink it, a hormonal responce will be triggered and she won't be able to say no to you."
Tajiu took it from Senkus hands and without hesitation poured it down the drain. "Thanks but I won't need that." he said, leaving the room immidiately.
Everyone looked at Senku, puzzled, and a guy asked about the misterious love potion.
"It's just gaseline." Senku said, while throwing a match into the sink and letting it catch fire on its own. "Made from recycled bottle caps."
"You could have poisoned him." you said clearly worried.
"Nah. I know that even the big oaf ain't stupid enough to drink it. I knew 10 bilion percent sure that he would pour it down the drain." he said, turning back to the machine.
"Yeah sure... Here you come again with the exaggerations."

As soon as the break began you heard the guys shout. "He's doing it. Come see!"
"I bet 50 yen he will pull out of it."
"100 on him getting dumped!"
"I bet 10 thousand yen on him unexpectantly not getting dumped." Senku said with a slight smile as he leaned on the window, sipping on his energy drink.
You opened yours and looked out the window. You just smiled looking at those two. "If I had anything to bet I would side with Senku. It's obvious-"
"Yeah it's obvious you would side with him." they glared at you.
"What was that su-" your argumentable question got stopped midway by some distressed noises.
People outside started to seem frightened and as you looked into the distance you saw a flash of green light coming over the horizon. You didn't even have to tell Senku, he already analized the spectacle with you, but for once in your life you saw him being confused. Non of you could comprehend what this green light was, but god you found it gorgeous, and it surely was. The light started to slowly cover everything like a mist, succumbing the world with a feeling of coldness.
Everything was happening so fast. You turned yourself to asks Senku about his theory but before you could get a word out you saw people turn to stone. Senku who was standing just few meters behind you dropped his drink. He seemed fully clueless. You took a step to him as his body too turned to a statue, your following soon after, trapping you in a state of no sensations. All you were alone in were your thoughts.
