Everything in Me

Chapter 6

Claire waved at her when she saw me at the bar. We reserved a table and ordered some light drinks first while waiting for our other friends.

"Sissy, 'di mo naman sinabing cutiepie pala itong bagong friend natin," bulong sa'kin ni Gab sabay sulyap kay Kai na naka-upo sa harap namin. Kinurot ito ni Claire nang marinig ang sinabi nito.

"Ay baks, 'wag na yan may nauna na sa'yo diyan," sabi naman nito.

"Ay? Late na akis? Sinech naman ang nakahuli?"

Claire just glanced at me and Gab acted surprised. 

"Guys, no. We're not together so shut it," I firmly said. we've been officially friends for months already after just being classmates for years but he hasn't said anything about the night something happened between us so I concluded he must have decided to just forget about it. It's almost summer break kaya wala na kaming halos ginagawa. Nauna na naming ipasa ang lahat ng requirements kaya we can afford to chill.

Nang sa wakas ay dumating na sina Jacob, Kail, at Cali ay nagsimula na ang inuman. Kaunting kumustahan muna noong una dahil hindi naman close pa ang lahat sa isat-isa lalo na si Kai sa lahat, we had to share a bit about themselves first and after awhile all of us just clicked together. Lalo na si Kai at Jacob who seemed to have the same interests. 

Our small circle of friends started with Cali, Jace, Gia and Claire. Claire picked me up when we became classmates then I dragged Kai into the friend group, Gia and Gab  were siblings, Cali and Kail were already friends and they became a trio when they met Cali

"Kagaguhan naman 'yan,"sabi ni Gab when he was dared to approach his ex who was also at the bar.

"Oh? Akala ko ba you're over him na?" tanong ng kapatid nito.

"Shut up, Gia. We were never together. Fling-fling lang yun bakla!" sabi ni Gab at inubos ang alak na nasa baso niya.

"You were never together pala pero kung makaarte ka parang naging kayo. Na-fall yarn?" Hirit pa ng kapatid nito na tinawanan ng lahat. Patawa-tawa lang ako pero may konting kurot ring naramdaman sa sinabi ni Gia.

After a few more shots, the whole group was already buzzed. Claire, Gia, Gab, Cali, and I went to the dance floor and randomly did some moves while Taylor's 'Dress' played in the background. I put my hand on Claire's shoulders as she held my waist and we smoothly swayed together. Claire twirled me and attempted a shadow position and tried to bend me but I ended up falling on the floor with her. 

Nagtawanan muna ang mga kaibigan namin bago kami itinayo at i-guide pabalik sa upuan. Mabibilang ko pa naman sa utak ko kung ilang baso na ang nainom kaya kahit medyo nahihilo ay alam kon maayos pa ang lagay ko. Wala namang nakakatawa pero napansin kong tawa nang tawa si Claire. Tinanong ko kung ayos lang ba ito pero tumawa lalo. 

Nagprisinta si Jace na ihahatid na siya pero marahas na inalis ni Claire ang kamay ni Jace nang alalayan siya nito at kusang tumayo. 

Umupo siya sa tabi ni ko at yumakap. Sinubsob ni Claire ang mukha sa leeg ko at may sinabi na hindi naman maintindihan. I sent Jace a 'what happened look' dahil mukhang magka-away sila but he just looked away, went back to his seat and drank  his bottle of beer
