Felix held his poker face as the woman in front of him continued to prattle on about herself and her family business. He wasn't even listening anymore, drowning her out by the sound of the impending divorce on the other table. He glanced at his watch again, and noticed that it's only been five minutes of what felt like an hour. He was trying his best to wait patiently for the food to arrive, but as mentioned earlier, it's just been five minutes. He turned his attention back to the lady in front of him hoping that maybe he wasn't just focusing properly.

"But daddy said that I could buy that car as long as I start doing more extracurricular. I had to agree, I mean I already keep straight As but he's never impressed. But another Lamborghini would get me to brag about it to my friends," she told him as she curled her slickly black hair. Perhaps he was wrong, she was still talking herself nonstop. How old was she again? Why did his mother choose this young girl? Although, she wasn't as stupid as those before her, for she noticed his bored expression and didn't take it as part of his brooding personality. So she adjusts herself and placed her head atop her folded hands, leaning towards him with a manner of interest.

"I finished talking about myself, what about you. I heard you're studying film. I was wondering what it's like to study something you're not really going to use?" she asked hoping to loop him in. He was about to answer properly were it not for the leg that reached for his from under the table He lazily leaned back on his chair as he took a glass of water. He took a quick sip before replying, "Just the same way you enter two different branded stores, but I'm actually paying for it myself."

He watched her face twitch at his comment, but tried her best to school her features. She smiled warmly, although it didn't reach her eyes. She quickly excused herself saying she needed the bathroom. He nodded in understanding glad that she left, hoping that she'll never come back. Perhaps these dates really are doomed to fail, since he only has an eye for one woman in his life.

...

I'm seated on table number five waiting for you.

That was the message of the new blind date that was set up for Marinette. She brushed a stray strand of hair from her face as she waltzed into the restaurant. She tried to get a good look at the person seated there, but to her dismay it was her ex, Luka Couffaine in all of his rockstar glory. She stood there awkwardly, in between the thought of ditching him or going through it. Instead she rushed to the bathroom and took deep breaths trying to calm herself. She glared at herself and pointed a finger at her reflection.

"You chose this, remember that. You asked them to set you up, don't back out now," she reminded herself. She knew she needed this is she really wanted to get over a certain partner. But it seems like she's forgetting that she wasn't the only one inside the loo. She heard the girl beside her cough, calling her attention. This broke her out of her pep talk to herself, and started to spiral down in shame. She profusely apologized to the woman hoping she didn't think she was weird. But the young girl only giggled at her and replied, "You're on a blind date, too? I hope yours isn't as bad as mine."

"Is it really that bad?" Marinette inquired as the girl nodded in turn.

"He's such an asshole not even trying to even talk to me. All he does is stare blankly and give backhanded comments. It's so annoying at this point," she complained as she words were seething in anger.

"I know what you mean," she sympathised with her as she took her hands in hers. "My advise, if he does it again just throw water at his face and leave like it was nothing. Or if you want to toy with him might as well act more clingy if you want him to cut it off himself," she offered as she winked at the girl. The black haired girl nodded in response as they both walked out of the restroom and went their separate ways upon entering the dinning area.
