Swan Song

The men and his machines plagued Gaia too long
They burned her lungs, boiled oceans
They hurt and maimed her for so long
And now she has had enough

You all were warned
Of the dangers you’d create
But no, humans
Refused to listen

You all were told
Of overdoing it
And so, humans
Will reap what the sow

Oceans barren and boiled, oxygen depleting soon
And you will not survive
You used them all, and destroyed yourselves
There is no hope for you any more

You all were warned
Of the dangers you’d create
But no, humans
Refused to listen

Thanatos has come, for us all now
Do you see the darkened skies?
We warned you
Now you suffer as you have caused

You all were told
Of overdoing it
And so, humans
Will reap what the sow

Some will remain here
After the Reckoning
They who didn’t cause harm to her
Will be welcome
